Hey guys, i have Filco Majestouch Tactile Touch with Cherry MX Browns and it has been great for the past few weeks, but last night it suddenly stopped responding, and the three LED lights turned off.
So i reconnected and everything seemed to be working fine, then the same thing happened. I reconnected, everything was fine.
This has happened about 5-6 times now, wondering if any of you had the same problem? I already e-mailed their support but I knew a few of you had Filco keyboards and figured a response here might be faster.

where'd you purchase it from? let's hope you didn't purchase used ones or something from forums or ebay

I am always scared of ordering shit and it ends up getting dropped by careless people at customs/delivery/etc. I ordered the same keyboard a few weeks ago and have yet to get it. I check the UPS receipt and it says its in customs. Its a fucking keyboard. Not a fucking bomb. Either way. I doubt people are very careful when they deliver shit for a job.

I'm curious, are you plugging it via ps/2 or usb?

elitekeyboards.com offers a 1 year warranty on their products so i'd definitely look into that.

Try PS/2 or a different USB port.

I've had mine for over a year now, taken it around to several LANs, and I've never had anything like that happen with mine or any problems really. You may have just gotten a defective model. I'm sure elitekeyboards will straighten it out when they get back to you.

I got the same keyboard a little less than a week ago. Once it did the same thing. The lights turned off and it stopped responding. I also just unplugged it then plugged it back in. It was after having to restart my computer because it froze up trying to watch the vods of hd husky casts from blizzcon. Hope it doesn't happen any more in the future.

Try it on a different USB port preferably a main port and not one that's being daisy chained. I've found that sometimes the chained ports can play up when they are not feed power properly.

But yeah I have to say not every filco is made the same. I guess the only way to guarantee the best quality is fly to Japan and buy one there as Japanese people demand the perfect device.
My keyboard have one feet shorter than the rest
But I can't be stuffed sending it back so I put a library card to raise it.
