Hello, I've got a mouse with a dpi button that changes the sensitivity from 800 to 1600 with it. My problem with the mouse is that it also changes the dpi setting whenever I hold the left and right click for about 3 seconds. You can see this being a big problem when playing fps games...I'm very frustrated and I wanna know if anybody can tell me a software that can help me control buttons so maybe I can kinda disable this "feature"...thanks P.S It's a cheap ihome mouse which got preloaded drivers and brings no software with it. There's no software in their website neither. I've only tried x-button control v1.51 but it didn't help at all as it didn't even recognized the dpi button. I'm fine with the dpi button, problem is the mouse also changes dpi by holding left and right click for 3 secs.

I wanna know if anybody can tell me what kinda of mouse he has. Razer? Logitech? Steelseries? Microsoft? Then I wanna know if anybody can tell me what methods he has already tried to fix this. Of course, he could also just include this critical information in the OP, but why do that when we could just puzzle it out for him?

I would have to imagine that this is a driver/software problem. If you installed any software with your mouse, make sure it doesn't have a "custom setting" that changes the dpi when you hold down the clicks.
It could also be software for a different mouse (or even possibly a keyboard) that is incompatible with your current mouse that has this setting that could be screwing things up.
Telling us what your mouse is would be smart.

Preloded drivers ? Hm, did you check for a new driver version or perhaps a firmware update ? It sounds like you tried some software not specifically designed for that mouse.
Aside from that, and seeing that you are interested in DPI setting and probably use this mouse for Sc2 gaming, I would recommend looking into a modern gaming mouse. The difference is quite notable.

Thanks for the advice. My mouse is the ihome IH-M125LO. I did a fresh install to my system(windows 7 64-bit) and I don't think any other driver would be interfering...I feel helpless :/ The mouse is not even that old and it has 1600 dpi. I researched and many people got this problem. I just want to find a way to get around it.
