Nal_Ra played and was consistently ranked as a top pro until retirement of SC using a ball mouse. Which he could get away with because SC runs at 640x480 so dpi isn't an issue. Mouse and keyboard never makes a pro.

Why would this statement hold any weight anyway? I can't take such an unmindful analysis seriously anyway.

I just got my filco yesterday. It is the same as FD's. I like it a lot. The keys take very little effort to press. They also make a little click noise but it isn't too loud. I had a microsoft ergonomic keyboard before this. I miss a lot of key strokes but I feel it will be much better when I am used to it.
It was the black widow that got me thinking about mechanical keyboards, but from the problems that people are having with the ones they have received and the problems people have had with other razer keyboards I am very glad I went with a filco. Thanks OP for letting me know what a great keyboard my hero the fruit dealer uses.

g9x is an extremely solid mouse and is great for sc2. In length, its shorter than even the Razer Abyssus but probably heavier. The teflon pads on the bottom are very large and it has a very nice glide on hard mouse pads. The precision grip gives the mouse a very minimalistic design. The mouse buttons are very easy to click and the mouse is very well built like many logitech gaming mice. I came from a razer death adder and i switched to this mouse about a month ago and i love it. My apm went up about 40 in sc2 with this mouse due to me being able to move it faster than the Death Adder. I believe the death adder is lighter, but it is also more bulky and much larger. The death adder is better for FPS, but i think the g9x is superior in RTS games. The only drawback i see with the g9x is the very stiff scroll wheel. It took about 3 or so days to get used to the very stiff scroll wheel. That was something i wasn't used to coming from an IME 3.0 (very soft scroll wheel mouse, had to push deep for it to actuate) and a very good scroll wheel in the death adder. I would recommend the g9x over the death adder for sc2 due to the fact the g9x also has rubber sides compared to the glossy sides of the death adder which could make your hands slip if your hands sweat while you play.

why is it more expensive if you get less keys surely less keys = less switches = should cost less

oGsInCa was using a similar keyboard(probably Filco's) as can be seen by the WASD keys. Was not able to see the whole keyboard so not sure what type of switches they had.

By elitekeyboard's prices, the tenkeyless ones are cheaper.
Majestouch Tactile Touch NKRO - $135
Majestouch Tenkeyless Tactile Touch - $125

A good tracking mouse definitely does help in FPS games. Better tracking = more consistent aiming, which is of course good.

Wow, I can't choose between the browns or the blues. Never had a mechanical keyboard before and I have no way of trying it out before buying....

I just got this exact keyboard, delivered about 10 minutes ago.
Holy shit, this thing is sweet.

My keyboard was waiting for me when I got home today. HOLY SHIT it feels good and solidly built. I feel like I could club someone to death and immediately go back to playing Starcraft on it.
