I think you'll get as many opinions about switches as there are different kinds of switches. I would describe browns as the "safe" choice if you're unsure, but honestly, if you haven't used a mechanical keyboard before, any of them will probably be fine. You'll see browns, blacks and blues all in use by various pro players (Boxer apparently is using blues, I saw another player in the GSL 2 qualifiers using an ABS M1 with blues, several players are known to use Steelseries with blacks, Fruit Dealer, Tester and CheckPrime were seen with Filcos sporting browns...)

anyways on topic, I just received Filco pink cherry mx browns yesterday and oh em gee it's the best keyboard I've ever used, aside from IBM model m we had on our family PC back when i was a little kid. It does look a bit girly, but it's the lightest shade of pink and frankly I like the look better than black filcos.

i got mine from keyboardco.com. That's the only place I know that currently sells them. and the white LEDs are exclusively for the pink filcos I think.

I'm pretty shocked that he is using a G15 mouse... I just retired mine because I didn't like the feel of it for SC2.

Pink Lady > Fuji Apples imo.

elitekeyboards was out of stock at the time so the only option I had was to purchase from keyboardco, and the pink filco cost the same as a black filco, so i took this colour as a free bonus

Wow I didn't know you could get a pink FILCO from anywhere still. I thought Check got it old school, because it was available earlier this year as well as the white and otaku models I believe. That's cool though, I'm considering getting it later on.

Well firstly, it's not always about impressing people. A pink keyboard is cool, why not? Secondly, there are always LANs despite SC2 not being a real LAN game. I LAN every friday actually.

It's a great keyboard though regardless! I feel like SC2 players would've bought FILCOs anyway, just not in the magnitude we're seeing here thanks to Fruitdealer.

Yeah, I have to say the feeling of typing on a mechnical keyboard is addicting. I mean it, if your fingers have any kind of sensitivity left, they'll love the feeling.
The sound is also great and probably reminds me of old days, if not, the "klackering" they make is great. Some people even prefer the clickey sound but... well, if there are other people they'll go nuts :-P

Still no answer from Cherry to my mail, maybe I'll have to reinquire and phrase things a bit more nicely, my first letter may have sounded a bit harsh.
