Unfortunately it did not work for me . I've unzipped GSCRelocalizer-v0.1 into C:\Program Files (x86)\StarCraft II\Support folder (Windows Vista).
From the new GSCRelocalizer-v0.1 folder inside the path above, I've run enUS-to-ptBR.bat.
Some minutes after, I ran the game and, after apparently logging in and accepting terms, the dreaded message "You need an authorized language pack to play this version".
Any clue on anything I may have missed?
Thanks!

Try deleting My Documents\Starcraft II\Varaiables.txt and see if you still get the error. Has anyone had success on Windows Vista? I do not have a copy, and am only testing on Windows XP.

I just hope we dont get banned, there were some threads about this on the LA forum and blizzard mods locked them, not recommending the use of any 3rd party tool.

I hope we don't either... That being said, I can't make any promises, so use at your own risk... The only thing it changes is your language, so hopefully Blizzard won't get too upset. I can understand them recommending against the use of any 3rd party tools.

Also, Bump! I updated to a new version. It doesn't do anything new if v0.1 worked for you. It just adds support for more languages.

AMAZING!!! YOU ARE THE BEST!!

Thanks so much for all your work and replies, im sure many people appreciate the time you're putting into this.
My question is: I have a US client, but I would like to be able to switch back n forth from US to EU to play with friends (while staying in english language). So multiple regions with 1 language. What exactly do I need to do? Do i require multiple clients and multiple keys?
Thanks again !

You could do this with only one client, but since EU supports English as well, English (UK), I would just have two installs. One for US and one for EU. There's no risk of breaking the ToS this way, and you won't have to worry about anything breaking when they release a patch.

Wait, so if I want to play on the Taiwan server and use English client, I download the English client and apply this patch? If so, you are my hero.
EDIT- how do I get the english client download without a digital purchase? ><

girlscoutcookie! thanks so much for taking your time and doing this! but i'm kind of confused.. i have to open up the gscrelocalizer, click on the .bat file and drag it into the support file of sc 2? and then double click on the .bat file thats in the support file? I have a korean SCII so would i have to use the enus to kokor or the other way around? and would i have to use the english starcraft II version or the korean?
Thank you soooo much!
|
Could someone on the Korean server send a real ID friend request to cmunn@primefour.com and then PM me to let me know you did it?
|
Bump! New Version Uploaded! If you're trying to use my scripts with Korea (either the Korean Client or the Korea Servers) you'll need the 0.3 Release, as I happened to forget an important file in the previous version.

Girlscout #1 <3<3, thanks so much
|
oh! maybe this will work.. i've tried the .2 version but it kept freezing up. Thanks Girlscout!
|
yeah.. no it doesn't work. it keeps freezing whenever i'm at login screen.
|
ok, so in order to play in english with a korean account, i need to download the US client, and then run the US-to-KR bat file?
