DS means double shot which is EVGA's equivalent to saying dual fans. AR has lifetime warranty as mentioned and KR has a three year warranty with the option of extending it to five or ten years by paying extra money.

Oh ok. Thanks a lot for answering! First time trying to build a comp so I want to make sure I do stuff right and learn what's what =).

What is my budget? $600
What is my resolution Currently, I'm using a monitor that has a 1024x768 resolution.
What are you using it for? Mostly gaming for BF3 and SC2 on high/ultra settings, if possible.
What is your upgrade cycle? 4+ years. I'm running a computer now that's 5+ years old.
When do you plan on building it? End of this month.
Do you need an Operating System? No.
Do you plan to overclock? Do you plan to add a second GPU for SLI or Crossfire? Possibly overclocking CPU if budget permits. Don't plan on adding second GPU.
Where are you buying your parts from? I'm from the U.S. Mostly newegg. Trying to get good deals for this month.

You're looking for
Core i5-2500k Aftermarket heatsink with 120mm fan (e.g. Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus, Xigmatek Gaia) P67 or Z68 motherboard (not Asus __ LE or MSI C43 or some of the lowest-end choices) Graphics card that fits into budget (maybe like HD 6850 considering your resolution) 2 x 4GB DDR3 RAM, preferably 1.5V, speed not important hard drive, should be 7200 rpm optical drive power supply - any 380W+ unit from Seasonic, Antec that's not Basiq / Value Power, any from Corsair, any from Silverstone, some from others... case (one that is wide enough to fit your heatsink)
Hard to predict prices. Look up how much stuff costs now and start hunting around Thanksgiving. edit: normally all the above costs between $650 and $700 from us.ncix.com, a little on the higher end of the range if from newegg. If you're concerned about gaming performance and plan to upgrade your monitor someday, it would make more sense to get a cheaper motherboard, i5-2400 or similar, no heatsink, forget about overclocking, and get a higher-end graphics card up to a HD 6950 1GB.

The answer to the Overclocking question does not match your CPU+mobo selection. Even for SC2, OC'ing isn't really necessary. You can play on Ultra just fine with an i5 2400/2500/2xxx whatever. OC'ing will increase FPS but is it worth the extra $? That's up to you. On a 60Hz monitor, you'd possibly notice an increase in minimum FPS in big battles, though can you tell the difference between, say, 35 and 50 FPS for ~5-10 in-game seconds? And is that worth ~$80 for you?

Those are good choices for someone wanting to overclock and planning on a multi-GPU configuration. In your case, these are bad choices.
The core i5 2500k is meant to be overclocked since it has an unlocked multiplier. If you are not overclocking, you want a non-K suffix processor such as the core i5 2400 (usually the best value) or core i5 2500.
Z68 Extreme3 is a multi-GPU ready and overclockable motherboard. If you aren't interested in either, you'll want a H61 or H67 motherboard - the Asrock H61M U3S3 is a good option.
Any case will do, just pick one that looks nice. Good options in that price range include but not limited to the Bitfenix Shinobi, Coolermaster HAF 912, Coolermaster 690ii Advanced, Lian Li PC-K58, and Lian Li PC-K7.
HDD prices have skyrocketed due to the flooding in Thailand.
You're missing a power supply. You'll want a ~500w unit for a single card configuration. Good units include but not limited to the Antec Neo Eco, Antec Earthwatts, Antec High Current Gamer, Seasonic S12II, Corasir TXv2, and XFX Core Edition.

Troll or?
Have you tried playing SC2? Bet it runs like crap. How can you expect to stream on that machine? Maybe BW.

I have picked some parts so far, would be much appreciated if someone could have a look over them. My main concern is the case, would it be big enough for the heat sink and then the power supply, if it would be powerful enough or maybe to much?
I haven't picked a hard disk as of yet, they all seem very expensive, so am thinking its best to wait a few weeks till the price drops to get one, tho I would use the SSD in the mean time.

Dont think HD720p is gonna be working for you. Both graphics card and CPU are very low end. Also 3GB memory is low. Running SC2 @ medium settings is going to be tough without streaming.

Heya, plan is to be upgrading my comp, and possibly play battlefield 3, which is sort of the benchmark here. Not on max settings, but likely high. Assuming I wanted to do so, is what I put up a yay or nay? And if not, what alternatives for the motherboard as plenty of alternatives have already been suggested for the cpu? Thanks.

Crazy deal on the 6850, unless the website isn't a trusted one.
Sapphire is a good brand, usually make "budget" GPU's
