You said he was on lower graphics settings? Maybe you have more graphics textures and such to load than he does (try lowering graphics settings).

I have Starcraft 2 and League of Legends in my SSD and BF3 in my Caviar Black. Either way I would imagine I would slaughter my friends in terms of loading into the game.

The question is do SSDs or HDDs have anything to do with the preloading section of the mentioned games?

Also consider that when in multiplayer, it is highly unlikely that both of you have your games on SSDs, so you'll probably be waiting for your opponent anyways regardless of whether your game is on a 7200rpm HDD or an SSD. I understand but I would love to see me load faster than everyone else. In other words, I wanna see my money's worth.

For practical purposes, about as high as your chip will go at the voltage you select. It will vary from sample to sample. The CPU itself will be more of the limiting factor than the motherboard or cooling (of course better cooling can help slightly and so can better motherboard VRMs).

There are free test programs to test the speed of your ssd. Try one and see if you get the speeds advertised. I don't remember the names but you can probably google them.

There's also IOMeter, ATTO, also some of the PCMark benches I guess.

If I run the systemsrequirementslab.com test, I get this ![]() but when I run the game-o-meter thing ![]() When I run dxdiag, it shows that I have 1650mb of video memory. I ran Oblivion and Fallout 3 just fine on pretty decent settings, and Crysis back when it was new and the shiznit. Should I be fine? I wonder if the systemrequirements lab thing is giving me too much because I have a good amount of page file on my computer. Does that still let me have better graphics memory? Also, if I need to upgrade something, what should I upgrade to? I have a desktop, and if I need something I want to get something cheap and low-end if possible, as I will be leaving early next summer for 2 years without a computer, so my computer is on its last legs of its use for me. sub-$50 before shipping on newegg would be nice. Thank you!

Also you'd probably be able to maybe play at 30 fps on minimum settings, that's my guess.

If I get a Corsair 600T Case, and a Corsair A70 cooler, will I have the clearance to mount fans on the inside of the mesh side panel?
