Starcraft II isn't graphic intensive at all and is heavily dependent on the CPU. Upgrading to a 2500k will help since its IPC is much higher than that of a second generation Phenom. Okay, so the Phenom X6 is out of the question then. I also want to play games such as Battlefield 3, Oblivion, Guild Wars, etc. With this in mind, should I go the i5 route or the i7 route?

DX11 ALC892 How do I access the graphic equalizer? I know once upon a time they removed it from the drivers. Can I get it back? If not, what equalizer program should I be using. Google is only moderately helpful. Many responses are ancient or not even referring to HD audio instead referring to AC97

Which part would I be looking at upgrading first if anything, considering I want to use the pc for gaming (upcoming titles such as skyrim/guild wars 2) and streaming? - What would the advantages be over having a 2GB video card instead of 1GB? (depending on where I order the price difference isn’t much) - What would the advantages be of having 1600 Mhz RAM instead of 1333 Mhz? (The price difference is only about 5 euro’s) - Would I be able to overclock this pc? (wasn’t my intention initially, but a friend adviced me that I should look at being able too since it would probably save having to upgrade my pc for a little while longer) or would I need a better cooler? - Any general advice on better options is obviously appreciated. :D

Should be at the program bar (down right), maybe under hidden icons. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding what you are asking.

They removed it years ago much to the chagrin of everybody.

I know we're getting close to Black Friday, but this was a good enough deal that I think pulling the trigger was worth it. I don't think I'm likely to find much better than $700 pre-tax for these specs during the sales.

I don't think he did anything special to get the equalizer but I'm not 100 % sure. I know I played around with it though so I know it's possible.

EDIT: I bet through editing the registry I can still manipulate the equalizer as if it was there. That sounds extremely tedious though... Maybe someone can recommend a good equalizer then since this seems pretty unfixable.

I am going to buy a pc that has the AMD Radeon 6850 1GB in it. I can spent another 78 euro extra to get a Nvidia GTX560TI 1GB in it instead. Or I can spent another 97 euro extra to get a AMD Radeon 6950 2GB in it. Is it worth it to spent the extra money on one of these video cards? I pretty much only play sc2. edit: Thanks nihlon, you saved me some buck!

You can get a better pc for less if you specificly sellect the components yourself and let an online store build it for you. for example: Asrock p67 pro 3 i5 2500k Gelid tranquillo rev 2 DVD/RW 8gb 1333mhz cl9 ram HD6850 WD caviar blue 1tb Corsair CX430 v2 Pick a case you like 30-50 euro?? Assembly Costs roughly 670 euro at shops like Afuture.nl and Azerty.nl.
