The way i thought it was: if you are not multitasking and are not about to pay enough money to overclock a 2500k, a 2100's fps/$ is pretty good. I guess the boost in frequency in the 2120 (and there's a 2130 out as well, btw) make up for the extra L3 cache that the i5 2300 has. Good thing to point out there. The difference is very small, however, and if you have an extra ~$40 to get an i5, I would get it because a significant amount of new games actually benefit from the extra physical cores. And obviously the 2400 beats the 2300, it's the same chip just 300MHz higher clock...

I also want to have people hear me and i already have a webcam so i want that set up to. so do i need a soundcard?? You need a CPU (processor), GPU (integrated is okay), RAM, motherboard, hard drive, power supply, optionally optical drive (say to install stuff on CD/DVDs), optionally case (to put things into). A dedicated sound card is unnecessary for what you are doing. The integrated sound chip on the motherboard is sufficient. Your CPU requirements are lower than most people streaming, since the Blackmagic Intensity Pro will do most of the processing instead. Regardless, i5-2400 for a new build is not a bad idea. WARNING: Blackmagic Intensity Pro does not support 1080p at 60 fps, only 1080i at 60 fps or 720p at 60 fps or something else like that. If you plan to record any footage to disc, it's recommended to get a second hard drive only for saving recordings. As for the above, more RAM is likely not necessary, but in case you leave a lot of stuff open while playing Diablo 3 and while streaming, you can get 2 x 4GB DDR3 kits for around $40 anyway, so you may as well. The motherboard is a relatively high-end H67 model. You probably don't need all those features, so something cheaper is probably better. Antec 300 at $60 is a bad value now as many newer cases offer the same features and more, at that price. Are you sure about newegg? Currently, NCIX (with the newly opened US version site) has generally better prices overall. Do you want to stick with newegg, use both, or use NCIX?

My resolution is 1980x1200. I would like to having a nice gaming PC for newer games to run perfect on. I always want to try streaming if that changes anything as well. My upgrade cycle is around 3-5 years but I do not mind buying stuff like a graphics card every 2 ish years. I personally don't want to build it for the fact that I'd probably screw up and loss a ton of money somewhere along the lines, I just want to play it safe. I will overclock if it is needed. Like I said I would like a REALLY nice gaming PC that can do pretty much anything. Yes I need a operating System. I don't think I need anything crazy. Uuhhh...if its in my budget? I would like to buy it at newegg and or frys because I do not like shipping. I've had bad experiences in the past with shipping so I would like to pick it up. I am sorry for the lack of info I can give as I'm not very good at computer stuff. I've always bought computers from HP/Dell/Sony etcetc but this time around I would like to have something nicer.

So you want a prebuilt, to clarify? You never stated a budget. Realize that a prebuilt costing something like $900 you could build yourself for around $550. EDIT: I'm retarded. your first line states a budget. You're looking at a computer that you could probably build yourself for around $900, just fyi. It's not exactly easy to mess something up, it's not a very complicated procedure. There's instructions, you just plug things into areas really. Nothing is actually fragile except the processor, which is more so "Just don't get your fingerprints on it" than anyhting. You just hold it by the sides and drop it in the slot, then close the latch.

I understand building it would be a lot of fun but I don't want to screw up somewhere and be down a couple hundred bucks.

You'll be down half a grand from simply prebuilding it^^. Why are you under the impression it's easy to screw things up? My brother freaked out when I first built his computer, he thought I was going to snap the mobo in half by the amount of pressure I put on it. The parts are quite sturdy in themself, I'm trying to think of ways you could fuck something up. Only real way is to get a static shock because you built it over carpet, or mess up the procedure of putting the processor in the socket which takes a full 10-15s and you can youtube it.

Theres not much to screw up if you just be careful, ground yourself and don't crack anything and make sure all the connections are right and you're pretty much done. Even if you did somehow break something it would probably cover the cost of the prebuilt alone.
