Would this work with an i3 2100 integrated graphics? What does "open box" in a motherboard description on Newegg mean?

D-Sub + DVI and 1x HDMI Yes it would work with a 2100. Open box means that the box has been opened and they might have used the board once(or not). Or its a product that has been return for w/e reason. Though, usually if thats the case it sais 'openbox return', or something along those lines. It just means the box has been opened and someone might have used it. You either trust them or you dont. If you trust them its no problem, if you dont, dont get it. [edit] from newegg: 'Open Box Looking for a bargain? Newegg's Open Box Store is the place to find them! Open box items are previously-owned products that have been returned to Newegg.com. This store includes products from across our website, often including items such as laptops, LCD and plasma TVs, monitors and computer systems. Please bear in mind that due to the varying quality of testing, you are taking a risk when purchasing open box products. Open box items carry a limited return policy and should be tested thoroughly when they are received. Be sure to read the open box return policy before you purchase one of these items.'

Antenna configuration is 3:3:2 on both 2.4 GHz and 5.2 GHz bands I think. 3 antennas for uplink and downlink, but only 2 spatial streams (hence max 300 Mbps link rate). Transmit power is kind of typical for a home networking access point. However, with no external antennas, it may have slightly worse coverage than some other models. It's supported by DD-WRT, tomato, maybe other 3rd-party firmwares. As for reliability...it's a recertified product. Even the non-refurb version doesn't have the best reviews, though it's not bad for a home networking product. Who knows why it was sent in by the first owner. It's like $72 on Amazon (refurb) with about 3.5 stars: http://www.amazon.com/Cisco-Linksys-Refurbished-High-Performance-Wireless-N-Router/dp/B003VY83HO

I think NZXT usually comes closer than most other brands to decent quality at a low price with that sort of look, but their cases vary from utter shit to slightly less mediocre than other cheap "gamer" cases.

Objectively, airflow, noise reduction, weight, durability, expansion capabilities. You won't likely get all of those in one case, certainly not cheap. Subjectively, noise quality, looks, gimmicks. If I missed anything, I blame the fact that I should have been asleep a half hour ago.

But thank you, I just wanted to kind of lay out what I was going to do, but you are right. Thanks for the info and the help, I'll be back in a few months. If you start out with reading this thread, look at what people want and what builds they are recommended you'll get a very good idea at what direction you want to go (if you were building right this instance). I've been doing the same for the last month. Most things you don't understand you can search for, google or ask here. I can also recommend doing a simple list, in excel for instance, where you list the different parts of your build, what they cost, where you'd get them from and so on to get a good overview. Then you can easily adjust if something better comes up. It will also help do judge the suggestions you get later on. Some posters you know are trustworthy while others may or may not be if you don't recognize them.
