I will be using the headset mainly for gaming but there will be times when I will also listen to music and watch movies.
Any suggestions?

Edit Have my eyes on Plantronics but I'm not sure. Edit 2 Fuck it, I'll just save up. Just came to the consensus that everything under $80 sucks.

I can't speak for the CM Storm Sirus headset, but I just got the SteelSeries Siberia V2 today. I'm highly satisfied with this purchase. The sound quality is very high, the headphones are unbelievably comfortable, and the microphone has an intelligent retractable design. CM Storm makes solid products (I have their mouse and love it) so you'll want to look into its headphones as well, but I can vouch for the SteelSeries being a great headset.

Not to mention it works incredibly for whatever I've been doing(SC2, music, skype). I've heard good things about Turtle Beach though

![]() They're 42$ here, though I can't vouche for the retailer from a buyer's perspective headphone enthusiasts at quite a few places have nothing but great thing to say about these headphones. just get a simple clip on mic http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Zm-Mic1-Sensitivity-Headphone-Microphone/dp/B00029MTMQ/ref=pd_bxgy_e_img_b is very cheap for 8$ shipped from amazon. And you have a headset almost on par with other sets costing 200~. And if you wanted some very nice sound from your PC you could always go one tiny step further and get a Xonar DG Buying headphones with a built in mic really ups the price of otherwise mediocre/crap components than if you bought them seperately.

MSRP $30 and has Excellent Sound. Price and performance was so good they had to stop making them, and destroy the company and cannibalize the company to Sony. You can't find them retail anymore but they can still be found if you look hard. ![]() Yes they don't look like goofy space-age hipster bullshit. Thats beautiful to me. No microphone because anyone who knows shit about anything knows you don't bundle that shit together. I can wear these for days and not feel them. I prefer bitcoins as payment. The cord is extra long so beware of The Slayer of Headphones + Show Spoiler + ![]()

-Must have a mic -Must be USB (I have a macbook pro and as such only have 1 audio port to work with) -Must be reasonably comfortable (none of this behind the ear form factor) -Must have some sort of long lifespan (Is it possible to get something to last > 1 year or is this going to be an annual purchase?) -Must ship to Canada I'm not a hardcore gamer, But I want something I can wear while streaming (MTGO, not sc2 if that's relevant) as well as for skype calls. I don't care about bass or sound levels or anything like that, I just want a robust, functional headset. I've been looking at the SteelSeries Siberia v2 USB, but apparently it's pretty cheap for such an expensive headset. Any recommendations? Many thanks for any help.

Get it on amazon/newegg too, should be a bit cheaper.

fellas, please, don't fall for the gaming headset trap. Turtlebeach/plantronics/icemat make some pretty damn atrocious headphones. You'd be much better off getting a decent headphone and adding on a clip on or standalone mic. Not only will you get a much better sound system that will actually help with games that require positioning, but you'll be able to listen to music that will blow you away. AudioTechnica AD700's are a great place to start.
