Judging from comments/locations, it looks like this isn't happening for the most part on the North American servers, but IS happening on the European servers. I know it hasn't happened to me... So maybe there's some sort of problem with the European game client, or the European battle.net servers... maybe? Maybe there's some sort of underground drop hack that found its way into a portion of the European community? Or maybe my survey of location and whether it's happened to people is coincidence.

Anyway, our issues are a bit more persistent and aren't fully new- always the beta has lagged between ~2pm and ~2am and that's not due to our computers or anything as all of us have run fine with zero lag when home for a weekend or spring break or whatever- it is an issue between here and Blizzard's server farm that involves packet loss along the route (from what and why, all we've been able to figure out from traceroutes is that it's not because of the university network- packets are fine until they are well outside of there). We've tried R1CH's advice to no avail and whatever else we could think of- it's pretty odd as SC2 Beta is the only game where we have this issue as our internet is 20+mbps down and 12+mbps up and works amazingly in pretty much every other game known to man (and earlier iterations of Bnet; duly noted Bnet 2.0 is different from most other games although Heroes of Newarth and Demigod, two other games that leverage dedicated servers for a strategy game to a hefty degree, work perfectly fine). But anyway, for the above, usually it would just be lag that kept building up and causing the lag timer to tick down to zero (generally in one, long, ~30 second burst). Since ~patch 6 though, there is a new, somewhat disturbing trend of the game just randomly dropping players (myself, friends, etc...) in lag bursts with the counter still well, well above zero. Also, the lag on the whole seems worse and more permeating than it previously was. I know pretty much for a fact that this goes well beyond drop hacks as this has occurred multiple times when I and my roommate have been practicing with each other (not to mention against computers too). Anyway, I'll pop my friends this link tomorrow morning so they can speak for themselves, but this definitely seems to cross 32-bit and 64-bit boundaries. My specs- Windows 7 Pro x64, Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700, nVidia GeForce GTX 280, and 8GB of 1066MHz Corsair DDR2 RAM
