If reddit is to be beileve, Rogue retirement should be announce soon, he's expected to miss the WTL playoff and as such GSL season 3 of course.
He would leave the game as a 3 time world champion, 4 time GSL champion, with two tripple crown to his name and over a millions dollars in his bank acount.

He played his first sc2 match almost a decade ago to the day, a 2-1 win over Requiem

He had a real shot at G5L and a finals vs Maru would guarantee we get it, truly cursed trophy!
One of the greatest if not the greatest player of all time, at least for LotV. Scariest finals player, and one of the two « top » zergs left in Korea…

I am not too upset about WTL given DPG roster, but that’s sad he only got 1 shot for the G5L

That would be a hard blow to me, I've grown really fond of him over the years and I'll miss him a lot. One of the best and most decorated for sure, with an uncanny ability to just win. The greatest of all time imo, even if I tend to find that notion rather meaningless now. I sure hope he can return after his military.

Looks like the era of Zerg dominance is about to come to at least a slowdown. Dark will only be able to avoid service for so long, once him and Rogue are gone it's more or less Serral and Reynor holding it down.

Granted they are both titans that can easily compete with top Korean players, but still, it's a big personnel loss for the top Zergs.

Good luck to Rogue, if he retired right at this moment he would still be one of the most decorated and money winning players ever, a true champion.

According to DPG's manager he is working hard to prepare for GSL S3. Since he got 0-2 against solar in WTL , he is forced to practice harder than before. Maybe the retirement will be at next year?

I think its all coming down to when they call Rogue to do the military service. If he was to join at some point later this year, then he cant make it to GSL S3.

If he can control when he'd retire, it'd have to be after Katowice next year. But I guess it all depends on when he gets the call to do his mandatory military service.

A vermieden Source (a Team Manager from Rogues Team, DPG) said he s training hard for the wtl Playoffs, I rather believe him.
Also Rogues contract with DPG is until after next WTL season, so at least for the Rest of 2022
