Let’s do good together and enjoy StarCraft at the same time!
These 2 weeks (Aug 1 – 14) all the coaching money I receive I will forward to charity. In addition GamerSensei will support this event so that for each class purchased for 12.5$ a total of 15$ will go to charity (GamerSensei giving 5$ for each lesson in August up to a total of 500$). Using my GamerSensei referral link to sign up for an account and book your first lesson will increase it further.
I’m hoping we can all learn loads and have a fun and interesting experience together!
I will also be streaming a ton so you can go there to ask questions and see if you think you would enjoy my educational style.
The charity is:
Against Malaria Foundation (AMF). They fund long-lasting insecticidal nets to prevent malaria. AMF is a top rated charity by the non-profit charity-investigator GoodWell.
How to join/support:
If you want to schedule a lesson please email me at themeightyfrogs@gmail.com or see other contact methods at the end of this post. And if you think it’s a good project you can also let your friends know :D
Who am I?
+ Show Spoiler +
I’ve been fascinated by learning for a long time now and Starcraft has played a big role in that. Recently I’ve also become interested in teaching. I love analyzing things and listening and trying to understand my students.
You might have heard my name from my mothership rush against HeRoMaRinE that made its way to reddit a year ago, or if you watch PiG’s ICYFAR. I like to mix playing my own wild playstyles and more common ones. Before my 5 month exchange studdies in China where I could not play which I just got back from I was GM-ish with Random peaking at 6k a few years ago. I don’t think the recent big break is a problem for coaching since I want to focus on long term skills in my coaching as opposed to meta-shifting skills.

What can you expect from the coaching?
You should expect a ton of questions since I believe that your thoughts hold just as valuable information as your games. The most efficient way for me to change the way you think is for me to first understand how you think. I am a big believer in long-term improvement such as gaining better game understanding or improving core mechanics. The coaching is flexible and we can discuss many things. I will first explain some competitively efficient practice followed by more focus on having fun and laughing.
Even without a coaching goal I can go through your replays and point out habit changes that will make a big difference in your play by adding up to improve game understanding and improve mechanical habits. Learning how to actually make those habit changes can also be discussed. Alternatively you can ask for something specific. Some examples of changes that can make a big different in the future from a single session is discussing how to use hotkeys and control groups more efficiently and other habit changes like ladder mindset. We can also look at more specifics such as improving something you struggle with or just anything you want to get better at.
If you choose to do a couple of sessions in this 2 week period we can also follow-up on your practice and discuss how your training games between the sessions has affected you and how to train more efficiently. This will help you learn how to learn so that you will be learning more efficiently after the 2 week period.
I am also very happy to coach things that are hilarious. Examples would be discussing an ICYFAR topic or making a build and playstyle for you or anything else to help you more often reach situations that make you happy. I have a lot of experience making up strategies and playstyles based on pure curiosity and amusement such as “I want to make a lot of battlecruisers” or “I want to trick my opponent into thinking X and do Y”. See spawning tool guides for a few examples (in previous guides section). I will do my best to tailor the strategies to your strengths and weaknesses. If there is something crazy you want to win ladder games with let me know!
I will be very happy to hear from you!
