I am following the guide but stuck at Plat 1 for a week now. Has anyone followed this guide successfully?

I watched the guide and got some good insights on how to handle certain situations. It certainly improved my game understanding. At the end of the day though, it all depends on your execution. Check your replays to see if the units/worker count/build are at the right timing. Deviations like taking gas a supply or two too early, not building workers, not spending efficiently, etc. may seem minor but it adds up and will ultimately put you behind. A guide will give you a road map, but it won't suddenly propel you to a higher league if you can't execute. Unless you're getting coached by Rails, then you can take a game off anybody.
