If you mean someone's blood will be spilled anew, that's a certainty. It's more likely that a returning player would qualify(Parting, Fantasy, Dream please!).
On a side note, lack of qualifiers stream is still bothersome. The groups are pretty stacked nowadays and there's plenty of good matches. They even renamed it to Code A.

I was hoping to get in to cast the qualifiers, but since NoRegreT is competing, he was unable to work with me to cover the event. I am hoping Season 3 is my time to shine, though I did say that in January for this qualifiers too...

Didn't he win WCS NA during spring/summer too? Maybe he's like Taeja, he gets the form from the sun. Once in 5 years
Group B was pretty stacked with Patience, soO, Cure, TaeJa, and herO all with a reasonable shot to advance. I'm glad they have a second chance tomorrow.
LOL, Terrans are getting shredded in TvP again. Inno just lost to Creator 2:0 :D If he loses to MC then we can officially declare broken beyond repair?

At least this didn't Happen :D (still sad tho for MC maybe tomorrow).

I'd love to see Fantasy vs Stats too. Too bad one of them has to lose, and it'll probably be Fantasy. I hope he can make it still though. Then again he'd need to play against Solar in LB so yeah that'd be tough.
Also Brat_OK knocked out SpeCial WTF? Nice to see him trying it in GSL though, but it's been a long while since he was very good, no?
edit: So Fanta won a map against Stats and beat Solar 2-0... nice... now "only" Ragnarok, let's gooo!
It's crazy how stacked the qualifier is when you think about it.. this really should be streamed, i'd love to see it! it's a top end tournament that you don't get to see in of itself.
Ohh yes, nice Fantasy made it! Happy for him. Zergs struggling hard, I hope some make it through tomorrow. Thinking some of say DRG, Solar or Ragnarok can make it.
really hoping for drg and dream here… and maybe an upset by emperor? its getting tiresome to see the exact same players in every tournament for years now.

I wasn't far off. aLive was unlucky to be in a group with Dear and Rogue. I have no idea what business Bunny has losing to DRG tho.

Bunny has lost the majority of his matches after Dark beat him. Let's hope he redeems himself tomorrow!
ogod yes korean sc2 needs new blood. once all the current korean pros retire for military the scene will be dead and serral will get another win at blizzcon. dave4 must be stopped at all costs!

If Serral wins another BlizzCon it won't be because of korean pros retiring.
Considering this one is Classic(born 1991)'s last year you would need five or six before Maru retires; the scene will be healthy at least until 2022.

Hey hopefully you can get something going, even a solo cast or something. Even just a video-only feed would be cool. TLers could still discuss the games in LR threads, but with some more to go on, or Discord chat or whatever.
Do you have to actually physically be there to broadcast it? I assume considering the stakes and how stacked they are that say, the players and teams wouldn't accept foreign observers that might lag the games?
It's always been irksome to me that these qualifiers are never really streamed, I mean always, but it's that bit more annoying nowadays where there are fewer tournaments overall across the board, and no Proleague etc either. Online leagues are cool and all, there's just something about a cutthroat LAN that elevates that a bit.
Dark didn’t even try to qualify on day 1, that’s really weird. Edit: That’s because he’s already seeded. Got confused because only the top 2 get seeded into Super Tournament.

So the GSL is a very complicated black box operation. Much like Wonka's factory in the beginning of the movie, "Nobody ever goes in there, and nobody ever comes out." But it still cranks out delicious SC2 action.
I posted a few times asking to help out with the S1 qualifiers back in January. Got a lot of community support and then after a long and confusing few days, NoRegreT finally reached out to me. He said that it's almost impossible for a new person to hop into the GSL to cover things. I asked him if we was gonna cover the Season 2 qualifiers, and if I could help him out with that. In January, he said he was and that he'd be in touch.
Up until this week, I was planning to help Jake out in some capacity. I didn't know if I'd be casting anything, maybe just helping him line up games or mod the stream or just tweeting on-site results or something! I texted Jake as late as Wednesday, and things seemed like they were on track, so I figured all was good. Haven't heard from him since then. He was competing in the tourney yesterday though, so I imagine his mind has been focussed on that.
I'll be working hard to connect with Afreeca in the coming months to make sure the qualifiers are streamed for Season 3. I think it's clear the viewership is there. I have made a few connections with folks at the GSL, so I'm am going to take it upon myself to get a livestream of the qualifiers next time. No promises, but I'll do my best.

Morning session will likely start at 1:00 KST today. I'll be tracking the Challonge brackets as it's live, and will keep another live-updated reddit post as well. Brackets aren't released until play starts at 1.

No updates yet- we're about 45 minutes behind. Must be some shuffling at the PCBang to get everything set up? They always seem to be a bit delayed though.

Sounds good man, yeah that makes sense, no pressure! Although it would be cool obviously
Yesterday Fantasy, today DRG. These are fantastic results! Too bad DRG had to knock out MC though.
Special and SortOf both one bo3 away from qualifying, but Special has a TvT against Bunny and he lost vs Brat_OK yesterday so idk. SortOf has to beat Creator who won 2-1 against him in the upper bracket, so it should be possible.

I mean, Special lost to Brat_OK and beat Bunny? Surely Bunny isn't in top shape. :/

Lol. I still remember when Brat_OK was considered a top player in like 2010?. Nice to see he still is good but him competing kinda well here surprised me.
On April 13 2019 18:36 Elentos wrote: Armani is in Code S boys. What have we done?
Hm, didn't he qualify twice already? I would have preferred Bomber's return(just as TaeJa in aLive's place and Dream beating TRUE for the second time).
As for Bunny, his shape dropped abruptly, since his ro8 he should be like 4-8 in series or so; it's not like Special is playing great at the moment considering his early WCS exit and his recent losses.
On April 13 2019 18:36 Elentos wrote: Armani is in Code S boys. What have we done?

Yeah 2 years ago. Before his military service.
TaeJa for aLive would be too much of a downgrade in skill honestly, the Ro32 has a lot of weaker players this season as is.
Armani is the first to have good results after his return; he is probably the youngest who had already gone to the military and he didn't really accomplish anything but he already equalled his best Code S placement today.
aLive isn't exactly a top Terran at the moment, one could hope TaeJa would be finally able to improve meanwhile.
