to me, this win is more amazing than maru triple GSL first place finishes, and serrals 2018 dominance and becoming first foreigner to win blizzcon and best player in the world

Maru finally rising up was more inspirational than soO's. They both been playing sc2 for nearly same amount of time, both won some tournaments here and there but nothing major until finally Maru won 3 back to back GSLs compared to soO's one Katowice win.
Dude no one is claiming soO winning IEM is somehow harder or more of an achievement than Maru and Serral's victories last year. The guy is just saying he finds it more inspiring for him. I agree too, getting 11 second places then finally winning one of the hardest tournaments in the world makes for a much better story than someone just winning everything.

KeSPA cup definitely takes 2nd place to this IEM, technically making it his 12th 2nd place.

But the winner prize money was like only comparable to a GSL 3-4th prize money, while the GSL winner got lik 8x the money of the Kespa cup winners prize money.

I don't care what's it considered, he had to beat KeSPA players during undisputable KeSPA reign. He won a hard tournament almost exactly in the middle of all the 2nd places. He won before, it wasn't 11 second places and no championship title there. This just lowers his acomplishments. Winning that tourney was big.

Then, the story about Bunny as the next player should bear the curse of Kong. Bunny was dreaming of having final matchup with Soo, so that he could win easily. This was made before Soo hold the IEM trophy. He also trash talked Stats some kind like underperformed soccer player, and Rogue as someone couldn't be able to hold the IEM trophy like he did.
