I can understand botting in mmos to ease grinding, but never got why people cheat in match-based games. Some people get satisfaction out of purely beating others, not actually playing better than them. | ||

Just a speculation, is the development of sc2 AI somehow related since OS calls to move mouse is different from direct injection of commands into packets? Reading packets directly for information is slightly more accurate than train the AI to recognize what is on screen and maybe used as a rule. | ||

From what I remember, there is a fairly heavy emphasis on the AI only having access to tools/mechanisms that human players have, for the most part. All of the SC2 AIs, afaik, avoid doing things like what this hack seems to do and would defeat the purpose of developing and having the AI at all imo. | ||
