A bit sad that sequencer made the cut though; however well designed and creative the map is, it hurts my eye aesthetically. Sequencer is also missing its map description text. | ||

Don't think anyone saw that coming? But most of them seems to have placed really high, and you have to agree that there has a fair bit of noise in the forum over how blizzard should use community maps over their old crappy ladder maps. | ||

All these new maps always have some 3rd or 4th base that's across the entire map to secure and bases that are obstructed by ridiculous terrain making taking expansions and playing standard macro slugfests really hard. LOTV already favors blind aggression too much with little to no defender's advantage. | ||

The games would be so much better. If you want macro games in lotv, you basically need maps exactly designed for it like dusk towers. Otherwise macro games quickly fall apart and become scrappy low econ games in just a blink of an eye. With increased ressources per base, a lot more maps would become good to play again and mapmakers would have an easier time designing maps too. | ||

I love Old Estate though, actually a bunch of the team maps look fun. Maybe I missed it at some point but when was the last time that FFA got shaken up? Back when New Spaghettysburg came out I heard whispers of an 8 Player FFA with air blockers to give that chunk of players something fresh but neither saw one get uploaded nor finished my own. :| | ||

For example newkirk. You would say that it's a stupid rush-drop map but some of the best macro games have been played on it recently. My biggest criteria for a map is to be bright. It took weeks to figure out that dark proxima station and paladino terminal. | ||
