But maybe you are lucky and Blizzard selects your old version anyway." i get the point and normally i'd sort of agree with you, but in this case i think the goal of getting the best possible ladder maps outweighs the goal of "fairly" rewarding all of the finalists. say that old version of namaste actually got selected for ladder, then we'd be stuck with a shitty map for at least a full season, but now we'll have a decent map in its current iteration. might suck for some finalists to potentially lose out on the prize pool because of it, but personally i'd forgo the money in favor of getting what i think is an objectively better map on ladder, and i think a lot of other mapmakers would agree. (not saying i think namaste is better than my entry, but just hypothetically lol) | ||
