I started massing void rays with armor and shield upgrades as early as possible into the game. By the end of the first terrazine fog, I sent two of them to the southern guardian making sure that they did not get hit by anything along the way. I used one solar lance on him and moved my void rays to the western guardian. To destroy this guardian, I needed to use 3 solar lances throughout the game and one shield overcharge to keep my void rays alive. After it was destroyed, I sent both void rays back to the southern guardian to use two solar lances there. While I was doing the above, I kept building void rays for defense. By the end of the second terrazine fog, I sent all my void rays to the eastern guardian, killed him easily, then moved them to the final guardian at the top of the map by doing a suicide run. Hope this helps!

There's something satisfying of seeing the red rays of the destroyer voidrays on the whole screen lol Regarding this mission, it's quite straight forward on brutal, this is my playthrough video: youtu.be I haven't tried the mastery achievement yet, but I'll try AkiZenko's strategy looks quite easy

You cannot kill ANY Tal'darim forces, including those that are sent to destroy your base after the second terrazine fog (~11-12 minutes into the game). Hope this helps! Thanks a bunch, it did help. I can contribute some tiny tidbits on this strategy. I like using the 1000% chrono boost, to get a huge early probe lead (also this time, used the vespane gas thing to save probes for minerals) and pump out 3 fast voidrays since I didnt have warp in. Lets me get my economy up very fast and get enough voidrays for the mission. Your voidrays only need to get in range of the ground near the temple, you dont have to fly over the guardian - the solar lance will grant you vision once you select where you want it to hit. Thats a trick that saves your voidrays extra hits. What I did when the final tal'darin forces were coming to my base, I built a huge pylon/gateway wall after the terrazine fog ended, and made sure I had no attacking units in my base (cannons/etc) - this way, even if my voidrays took longer to kill the guardians, I wouldnt accidentally kill a zealot or something. Instead of keeping my two voidrays alive on the left side, I actually did a sloppier method, where after the 2nd terrazine fog ended, I instantly sent 2 more voidrays to the south behind the pillars, and the rest I went top with. I killed the top right one easily then sent my voids to the top middle. Once I was in position, that is when I used my shield and sent the 2 bottom to finish off the guardian (already had one solar lance) and then suicide the top. At this time, I basically judged if the bottom 2 would kill the guardian alone (which they did) and saved my solar lance for if somehow the suicide mission top didnt do the trick, I could solar lance it to end if need be. I can't see any other way of doing this mastery achievement without Akizenko's style. One of those super hard ones!

Apparently I killed a random Zealot or so.. Pretty lost on this one. You can defend the two attacks before the fleet comes and attacks?

I can kill some of his forces? but not all attackers? there's pretty much no way to tell, unless you've got the achievement. Apparently I killed a random Zealot or so.. Pretty lost on this one. You can defend the two attacks before the fleet comes and attacks? You can kill Amon's forces (slide your mouse over enemy units to see their faction), but you cannot kill any tal'darim protoss besides the four guardians. Visually, Amon's forces appear as black & red during the terrazine fog. Eventually, a wave of tal'darim is sent to your base after the second fog and you cannot kill them.

Okay thanks I guess buildings count as forces as well? Edit: Finally got it, you have to be really careful with the Lazer beams, it's splash is bigger than what it marks as "red."

![]() And I thought the other mastery achievements were annoying Edit, Ok just did it finally -- make at the beginning two phenix and rally around to get the top left guardian. -----Fly with the frist one in the base and target the guardian with your solar lance, after the cooldown is over use you second phenix and do the same --while you damaging the upper left guardian with the beam you use your void rays to kill the guardian below, left bottom. You'll need to use your shield overcharge so your voids get the job done. -- fly with all your void rays back to your base because you need to defend now, but keep one there and suicide it for your 3rd solar beam on the upper left guardian --Build 1 phenix and after keep building void rays --As soon as your phenix is done fly up and use your solar lance for the guardian above your base, do not suicide the phenix you need it to use 2 other beams on the guardian so just peak in and fly out --right about now, you will get attacked by the tal'darim so evade your probes and build pylones to stall --Fly with all your voidrays to the last guardian, fly at the corner of the map. I mean with that fly at the right corner up till the map ends than fly left but on the top corner of the map. As soon as your at the top fly in to the guardian as soon as your voids take damage use your shield overcharge I hope that was kind of understandable

The Carrier mission where you move around your platform took me like 80 min, because they can't kill Turrets without getting hit themselves, so I basically made all the Dark Archons I could muster and Mind Controlled all the opposing air units that attacked my platform. Probably could've done it another way, way more easy, but the way I did it, I needed 100% cost efficiency, never losing a unit that wasn't mine to begin with.

- Use phoenixs/corsairs to poke in and use solar flare on the two lightly guarded guardians (north east and south). I used a phoenix to use a purifier beam on the south west guardian first. Then I sacced one to kill the northern guardian right as the fleet was launched. Other than that you just build whatever you want to hold off Amon's forces.

Wow, you can get purifier beam already for this mission :o I've only completed 12 missions so I only have 4 tiers of abilities. This achi is pretty hard on brutal. Edit: Got it. Tried for a long time to do top right+bottom left first then do the last two ones in one go as late as possible with Shield Overcharge + Temporal Field, was pretty freaking hard. Then I switched to this strat and I got it on second try really easy, wasn't even close on brutal. Spells: Chrono Surge, Temporal Field, Orbital Assimilators, Shield Overcharge. 1. Save up to 7 void rays and move north (at 4:45 ingame timer, 2:45 until Terrazine Fog). 2. Kill northeast guardian while pumping double void rays and starting +1 shields. 3. Chrono surge +2 shields and move along north edge until you get close to northwest guardian, pop Shield Overcharge and Temporal Field and then suicide your void rays after killing guardian. 4. Keep pumping double void ray and defend the Terrazine phase then move out with your ~13 void rays along the south edge and kill southwest guardian. 5. Move alongside west wall and then pop Shield Overcharge and Temporal Field and just kill the last guardian. You don't need nearly as many as 13 void rays in the end for this, so you can pretty much mess up a lot and still get the achi on brutal with this strat.

Mass void rays + recall | ||

Spec for recall and time freeze. You won't need thermal lance. I took the auto gas and the plus supply as well. Mass some voids, fly around the right side of the map to take down the top right guardian. You can get it with 5-6 voids and not lose anything. Then fly them along the top edge of the map towards the top left guardian. Use time freeze when you get close and start taking damage, then as soon as its dead just recall your units. Defend during the fog. After the fog your mass of voids should be much bigger (you should have one stargate chrono'd, and another producing as well). Fly towards the middle left. You should be able to weave a bit between things, but when you get close, time freeze again. Kill the guardian, then fly to the left out of the base, fly down and easily take out the last guardian. The tal darim forces are probably getting close to your base at this point, but it's gg.

There's no indicator of how many Taldarim units you've killed either :x edit: Finally got it! I still had a unit in my base that killed a zealot of the attacking Taldarim force -_- You can check how many units you killed vs. how many void shadows you killed, if there's a discrepancy it can only come from one place. Also grats, it is one of the tougher ones.
