I finally found time to do some math here, sorry for the delay, had my final exams (I'm chef now yay!)

The results are not very surprising, i think the Top 10 came off very well. In the lower rankings, there is some weirdness going on here and there, which is normal as the sample size isnt all too big. But even there, it turned out quite OK.
As i mentioned before, the top 30 aligulac and the WCS ranking did also count as two rankings; The Top 30 aligulac got points from 30 to 1, 100 WCS points meant 1 ranking point [200+ points neccessary].

In the next months ranking, the rankings have to be between Top 10 and Top 20, rather than between Top 5 and Top 30.

Since the Community Power Rank from The_Red_Viper won't contain any non-koreans, i thought it would be a cool idea to make a non-korean Power rank - and add a few rules to make it more legit.

It works exactly the same way as the original, you give me ur rankings and i'll add them up in a week from now (4th of June).

The difference is: you can give me anything from your Top 5 up to ur Top 30.

In case you do a top 30 list, rank 1 gives 30 points, rank 2 gives 29 and so on.
In case you do a top 5 list, rank 1 gives 5 points, rank 2 gives 4...
The power ranking itself will go up to rank 30

A few rules:
- The players you list must be at least Top 100 on aligulac (non-koreans)
- Obvious troll rankings will be ignored.
- The aligulac Top 30 will count as 1 community vote list.
- The WCS Top 30 will count as 1 community vote list.

I will do this monthly from now on.

wow, not happy with my ranking at all, but i have no idea how to evaluate. we see non-korean players not on a weekly basis and the skill is much closer imo

dont bunch up Polt with "foreigners", thats disrespectful to Polt...

I like the idea (poor foreigners probably won't be on the overall PR), but i think it is weird to give 30 points for first place when you do a top 30 and only 10 when you do a top 10.
Let's be real, top 30 lists will be extremely vague, i am not sure i could even name 30 foreign pro players at this point.

I agree, this point system is really poorly thought out.

Should also normalize the point system by dividing each score through sum of the list's points.

hm well i get ur point, but the players will always get points relative to each other in a top 30 ranking. you could as well cut off the last 20 players, and not a whole lot would change. It's not like a top 30 ranking has much more influence than a top 10 ranking.

Also, most people won't choose to do that anyway since it's a bit of work, and if you follow the scene closely, it's not all too vague.

I'll keep it like this for this month, if it's received negatively throughout, we will change it to Top10 - Top15 or something for next month and see how it goes

The thing is that bigger lists contribute way more to the final outcome. If i make a Top 100 list, my first place accounts for 10 Top 10 first places.
