The irony. Last week i posted about my findings about a match fixing scandal in pro league and the TL moderators decided to close that thread:

The only difference is that this time pinnacle decided to void the bets. The line movement was nearly as ridiculous far off:

Line movements from last weeks match yoda bunny:
yoda ~1,7 (58,8%) to 3 (33,3%) ---25,5% difference

Marineking Byul:
byul ~1,6(62,5%) to 1,09 (91,7%) --- 29,2% difference

EDIT: I just remembered, Breaker is even affiliated with the Yoe Flash Wolves, either currently or fairly recently. So yes, even expertise isn't infallibility.

If rekrul says it, assume it's true.


Breaker has done that stuff before, so I'm not surprised he would lead jump the gun before confirming everything.

Rekrul has a much better track record, but then again.. I seem to recall him distorting and later retracting some team disbanding drama during WoL too (I want to say TSL, not sure though).

However, in hindsight it seems obvious that something must be going on right?

Solar was confirmed to have been offered money almost a *year* ago. KeSPA even confirmed that he wasn't the only one being offered money to throw games, then they didn't say anything else.

Olimey posted a list of tournaments that gamblers were using to rig bets (but not the matches themselves). Mal responded since he was one of the tournaments named and said he had even received training to avoid getting exploited and he still fell victim! Again KeSPA admits the issue and doesn't really do anything.

Now we have several lines on Pinnacle voided (this is the third time?) and we already know form the savi0r thing there are illegal gambling rings in Korea so it's starting to look more like the gamblers are branching out to Pinnacle rather than this being the start of the 'match irregularities'.

I would say this is obvious fixing if MarineKing didn't play so... forgetfully sometimes.

Edit: Needless to say, I think this is still very very bad. Not only because, yeah, match fixing seems to be a thing nowadays, but because it involves a player I've followed and cheered for...

Heh that game was funny. Most likely it's the coach that forced the players to lose (like in bw) so maybe marineking lost that obviously on purpose. I hope so at least.

Yeah my bad, he did react, I rewatched the video in fullscreen, it was kinda hard to see on a small window. This probably could be faked though, I guess, it's not like you need an Academy Award for that.

Just a question though. If I wanted to destroy the pro-scene, all I would need is a couple of 10,000 dollars, and place a few big bets on some games which I'm pretty sure will be one-sided?
I mean, the fact that MK usually loses in horrible ways was just a nice bonus here.

The reaction looked like a poor act to me, but hey, I only noticed it after I had read this thread, so there is some bias now.

Also, if what Rekrul is saying is that people are CURRENTLY, fixing and throwing matches in PL on a major ("rampant") scale, then wtf are we (as viewers and a community) still doing. Like, honestly, how could anyone ever watch PL and even give a shit with that information? I do hope that was an extreme exaggeration, because that'd be really disappointing. Like, I can tolerate a few throws here and there, whatever, shit is hard to avoid, but if tons of players are doing it...?

Why is it you (Rekrul) are only just now posting this information regarding match fixing? It's not that I think you're untrustworthy or whatever, it's just... How could you not say something about it sooner if you had this kind of insider info?
