I don't recall Bucharest as having that much hype, and London is a new location that has GFinity already being active in SC2. GFinity has qualifiers and work with players and teams with regards to flights and hotels and they deserve a lot of praise for that. That tournament is looking stacked.
SUMMER PLS.
p.s. DH Open is a brand of Dreamhack that doesn't include Dota. They have Dreamleague for that which is a standalone brand. DH Open is the brand they like to travel the circuit with.
Bucharest had that glorious lineup once with Flash, sOs, Bogus, Life and other. Was cool.

Moscow was boycotted last year by a lot of players. Honestly, its not THAT surprising to not see SC2 on the moscow stop from a business perspective.

So LotV a game barely in beta, unproven and unpracticed, will have a side event at DH winter. Nothing compared to what we've had in the past.

You obviously meant LotV...it will be in beta at the time of DH winter...it will have only been out for a few months at best by then. What exactly am I wrong about?

I'm glad that I haven't spent a dime to support DH and never will.

Its a bit of a shame because all the DH events were bringing competition to countries that didn't have them and sort off encouraging local talent to come and play, at the very least the locals could experience what it was like to be at a big event like DH and see their favorite players play on stage. Its especially helpful for those who can't really travel for these sort of things.
I attended all DH Bucharest bar the very first, despite losing early I had great fun, I enjoyed watching the games live and meeting my favorite players and all the eSports personalities. I was eager and excited to compete in the next one. I know this may have sounded a bit selfish but I'm pretty sure there were more like me that felt the same and are sorry that DH isn't bringing SC2 to their countries.

One of the saddest days in SC2 history...

I hope DH is only taking a reduced role from SC2 until LotV because losing Winter and Summer is a big blow to DH's SC2 presence.

Anyone knows how accomodation on Dreamhack looks like? I wanted to go to Valencia this year, but they haven't released any details yet and I don't know if it's worth (possible) getting a ticket that will provide a sleeping place in the hall and if so, if they let you sleep over there after the last day or competition and so on. And I wanted to book my plane tickets already .
Would be really nice if someone familiar with Dreamhack format/scheduling/accomodation made a FAQ, because that on their covers only ticket printing and refunds...

Yea that was an awesome line-up, but it was thanks to players scrambling for WCS points for Blizzcon as opposed to Dreamhack doing something to get top players.

I'm pretty sure you can sleep in the sleeping area for the entirety of the Dreamhack festival, which is usually up until the Sunday. Personally I'd recommend getting a hotel, I stayed in a pretty cheap one <5 minutes from the venue. The only good place to eat that is open most of the time is some kebab place, go there and order 'menu dos grande'.

Don't worry, downsizing is healthy! It doesn't matter how few people are watching it just matters that we have fun /s

Sc2 still gets 3 events compared to 0 for dota 2 ;p

Well I'll tune in to half the Dreamhacks then.
