You know, when CS:GO is the only played game on the majority of specific tournaments, they're not really tournaments anymore. They are just CS:GO events and nothing more.

Unfortunate that SC2 is not the main event anymore, but I'm sure these will still be great tournaments to watch.

they lost the dream - only a hack now

Well there's a chance that LotV will happen on DH:W - which could be cool.

Not having DH winter is ridiculous imo. I mean, I don't remember the viewerships for former dreamhacks, but didn't the last one have 60k at least? I remember IEMs constantly having 80-110k viewers in 2013, but 60k is really not that bad... I don't think the reason to drop it was SC2 doing as badly as it is right now, but more like other games doing better (obviously), so I don't really understand the ded gaem talk here either.
LotV is going to put Starcraft right back up where it belongs.
LotV will cause a small increase in interest. it won't cause viewer #s to exceed CS:Go's viewer #s.
seeing CS:Go's viewer #s i don't get how any one can be angry with Dreamhack for dropping SC2 as their main game.

You mean like the FIFA World Cup isn't a tournament because they only play football?

still waiting for major tournaments in uk..:'( maybe next year

I think it is safe to assume SC2 HotS was not announced for autumn and beyond because they are going to feature LotV for those tournaments With LotV beta starting 31.3. the game will release by end of summer and it will be out and ready for DreamHack later events

hey everybody! new user here so I couldn't start a new thread on this.. but I will be attending my first dreamhack (Tours, may 8-10) and I have a couple of quick questions for those of you who have attended one before.
How hard is it to get autographs from players? I have a couple of prints that I will be bringing along with me which I can hopefully get signed.. coming from Toronto, I've been to the WCS when they last came and they had an autograph booth where players would go randomly to sign stuff.. is there a similar booth at dreamhack? Or will I have to look for players in the playing area and ask them personally?
Also, the dreamhack.fr site isn't very detailed in its ticket information and I tried contacting them (and posting on their FB site) without any reply to this.. with a visitor ticket, would I still be able to visit the LAN area? I'm assuming that I will still be able to access that area, just that I won't have my own space for my own computer (which is fine since I'm not planning on joining any tournaments myself). I just want to be able to walk around and watch people play and again, hopefully get some autographs!
thanks in advance!
