DreamHack announced all the stops of the year for it's DreamHack Open tour. (source)
With the announcement last year that they were dropping StarCraft II for CS:GO as the main game, this means that there will be no SC2 at DreamHack Winter in 2015.
- DreamHack Tours – May 8-10 (8-10), Tours, France
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive & StarCraft II
- DreamHack Summer – June 13-16 (13-15), Jonkoping, Sweden
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
- DreamHack Valencia – July 16-19 (16-18), Valencia, Spain
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive & StarCraft II
- DreamHack Stockholm – September 25-26 (25-26), Stockholm, Sweden
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive & StarCraft II
- DreamHack London – TBA, London, England
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
- DreamHack Cluj-Napoca – October 30-November 1 (30-1), Cluj-Napoca, Romania
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
- DreamHack Winter – November 26-29 (26-28), Jonkoping, Sweden
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
With this, DH SC2 is down from 6 events in 2014 to only 3.
Like in 2014, each event for SC2 will provide 4,000 WCS points with a prize pool of $25,000.

Maybe one of the WCS season will be held at some DreamHack ? I hope so, it's already a big loss.

Too bad

As pointed out in the reddit thread, the only confusing thing is that Dreamhack Winter and Summer don't have SC2 as well, feels like they'd have a good SC2 attendance there.
|
That's really not great

I want to say that they are probably just waiting for LotV. Once the beta comes out, SC2 tournaments are far less interesting than they already are.

RIP in pieces Summer of TaeJa no more DH Winter seems sad
|
Hm, no sc2 at Summer or Winter is pretty sad. But who knows, might be back next year with LotV.

Well it's kinda off topic but thats why I hope that LotV tournaments will start sooner than they did for HotS. An unbalanced game is incredibly fun to watch and having pros play it is an immense help for the game developers.
So while it might be "random" at first due to balance I think it will be healthy in the long run.
That being said, I think DH will for sure pick up more SC2 again should it rise in popularity. Popularity > Everything( see minecraft)

I don't understand, only CSGO and no other games at 4 out of 7 events?

Look on the bright side of it guys, at least now being a DH champ means more now than it did before since there's less of them.

With France's SC2 crowd DH will probably realise they should do SC2 at every event
