Well we'll found out if this is true when MCs group plays in the GSL mate =D

Makes sense, downsizing seems like a smart choice for them, and localizing talent is the way to make a brand continue even without much of a presence in the scene as a whole. This reminds me of how long Alternate Attax lasted with just Socke for a while, hopefully mouz can go for longer and support Heromarine and maybe Hasu when he comes back.
I used to play random, but for you I play very specifically.

i honestly hope mouz isn't going to disband... hopefully they pick up Naniwa and letting go some player is their way of clearing up cap

Interesting that little more than a year ago Mouz had their signing of Dear which has to be the least successful signing of a Korean player by a foreign team in the history of SC2. I wonder what exactly happened in the organization to cause such a massive turnaround in the span of a year. It can't just be blamed on SC2 popularity relative to other esports--it's not like there were any illusions on that by the end of 2013 when Dear was signed.

LiquidSea? Or Moon, Rain and Byul during their time on Fnatic? Because none of them made a final during their stays in their respective periods with the team. There are more examples out there, but these are the first, that come to mind.

I still think Dear is still by far the least successful Korean signing by a foreign team. Sea and Moon were players with success from other games that never really translated into SC2, Rain (edit: the old Terran player Rain) was a mediocre player who had one good run in GSL 2010 S3 and that's it (in other words, he didn't get worse after his signing by Fnatic), and ByuL was a total unknown when he signed with Fnatic so no one expected more of him. Dear is the only player I can think of that was a top Korean when signed by a foreign team and completely fell through the floor after being signed. Sure, INnoVation lost his dominant edge after signing with Acer but he was still a strong player and played very well in GSTL. YoDa and First signing with TCM didn't really work out but they were not dominant players in Korea when they signed up.

Yes, sure and Rain made a final of GSL. Both was at a time, in which they were not playing for Fnatic.

You have a pretty small sample size here, though. How many really top tier koreans have ever been on foreign teams? Aside from MC on SK and Inno on Acer, the list pretty much ends. Taeja can be rated a s a top tier korean, but he got his major success after being signed by Liquid. MMA was in the worst phase of his career, when he joined Acer and while he did recover afterwards, he wasn't a top tier koeran at the time of the signing.
So, if you want to inculde only 3 people as a viable choice, I could agree with you. But given, that Dear stayed at mousesports for only 3 months and had decent runs at both ASUS and IEM WC, calling his signing less succesfull than for example Seas seems ridiculous to me.

I'm not talking about which Koreans on a foreign team accomplished least. If you want to say that you can go through a whole list of Koreans who were on foreign teams and (not to be mean) never accomplished anything of significance. How about CrazymoviNG with Infinity 7, or Sleep with CheckSix. I'm talking about top top (GSL Code S level) Koreans who got way worse after moving to a foreign team. Sea just doesn't fall into that group. Sure there haven't been a ton of them but if you include foreign sponsors there's INnoVation, Bomber, Polt, MMA, MC, jjakji, TaeJa, HerO, Jaedong, aLive, etc. Second least successful is probably Oz--he stuck around for a while and had a few decent results but he never recaptured his FXO form when he went to Fnatic and then EG.

I think next level swag_bro reaction should be to pretend to take him very seriously, so that people who are stuck on the last level would go like "noooo but this is a troll"

Honestly, if you think a team will pick up someone else after they drop players in 2015, in SC2, you're kinda delusional.

Well, if we just take this list: Dear made more finals in his 3 months on mouz than aLive did in his 8,5 months on EG.

Nah, rather not. I'm able to forgive him in the future, but he has to stay clean for a while, before that happens.

moon did make a final of dh

I still think Dear is still by far the least successful Korean signing by a foreign team. Sea and Moon were players with success from other games that never really translated into SC2, Rain was a mediocre player who had one good run in GSL 2010 S3 and that's it (in other words, he didn't get worse after his signing by Fnatic), and ByuL was a total unknown when he signed with Fnatic so no one expected more of him.

This seems kind of unfair. Dear had such a short stint on Mouz and he still did fine - getting a finals in one of the few premier tournaments he got to participate in during that 3-4 month period or whatever. He went quite far in an IEM during then too, all while doing reasonably well in code S as well. I don't see how you can shit on him for that. The absolute best of players couldn't be held to a higher level of consistency over such a period of time.
