Edit: Holy crap, Fantasy and Seed also qualified. Wasn't expecting that. yonghwa just happens to excel under those conditions, where as soO and Zest do not. I think different players just function better in tournaments with different amounts of "prep time" are given. This qualifier had 0, they had no idea who'd they be playing until the event started and basically no time to prepare for the next one between rounds.

Zest has succeeded in only 1 out of 7 career attempts at an offline qualifier.

I expect to see a lot of terrans winning this season. Most of them that qualified are extremely good players, and that mixed with fewer zergs and only 2 or 3 protosses that deserve code s. GL Penguin!!

no Flash or either Zest?? Are they playing in SSL or anyway terran will dominate once again

Top Players should stay victories everyhwere. Week long preps for Bo1s, one GSL-Group or one Bo7 isnt everything. The Topplayers who attent to take the throne or at least sit next to it shouldt not have weaknesses, when they cant prepair week long for known enemys.

Because if you can't defeat Yonghwa at qualifiers, you are not worth the spot. It has always been this way.

No seeding at all.. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?
Flash wouldn't have made it, but soO and Zest should 100% be there... what the fuck is this? Pretty much the consensus best players in the world for 2014 with the only competition being from Life & Taeja.
Seriously can't fathom this. One bad day and your whole 2015 is fucked.

Kinda funny that only 3 out of the top 8 requalified for Code S. This is quite a strange but cool line up, I'm really excited to see how this goes.

Seriously can't fathom this. One bad day and your whole 2015 is fucked. That can be said about literally any match anybody has on any one day. You want to win, you gotta put up results when the time comes.

the people that praised soO and Zest got hit with the reality, again. The two will be back though, they just suck against players they don't play often against.

Yes, but this is an ongoing tournament which deserves to have seeding. In 2012/13/14 etc. (my memory isn't 100% on this) but I'm quite sure the seeds of the previous year carried over, at least the top 8.
It's also even more important this time because there will be no Code A. Literally they've gone from finalists to off the radar for 4 months simply because of a new format change.. ridiculous

And only 11 out of top 32.

They gone from finalist to off the radar for 4 month simply because they could not bring it on the point when they had to.

Shows what stupid idea Bo3 qualifier brackets are. They make for nice stories for weekend tournaments. They aren't fit to decide the best 32players in the world.

Starcraft 2 is a volatile game. In BW, players were treated to no balance changes for the last decade of the game, with balance being tweeked slightly by maps and meta.
In SC2, there are new strategies being born and destroyed constantly by things completely out of the players' control. It's nigh impossible to stay on top of a game that fluctuates with this much volatility - indeed, Blizzard ensures this by nerfing anything that appears to become too strong. Innovation was knocked down in 2013 after Blizz nerfed hellbats as a direct response to his & Flash's usage of the unit.
There has to be some protection for the big guys from going down like this.
