Yep everyone knows how this is gonna unfold. Move along folks.

Edit:

Did some research. Our boy has won 9/10 tournaments entered that have a first place prize of 10k. And he's also on a 7 win spree with no losses between in 10k tournaments.

Half-dead wrists - Check
Zest looking for revenge - Check
0-2'ed by Action in the last stacked tournament - Check

Yeah, move along. It's not looking good this time. ;p

It's like you all think Action is some random 2 bit zerg.

No. But there will be even worse (I mean stronger opponents) in that IEM.

It's quite a bummer to those Koreans who participated at the qualifiers, but didn't make the cut.

Since it's fan favourites getting the wild cards, I suppose I see the commercial reasoning.

TaeJa won IEM Shenzhen so we invited him to defend his "title".
sOs was sent by KeSPA as Proleague Round 4 MVP
HyuN was #1 on WCS ranking
MC was #2 on WCS ranking

Inviting based on WCS ranking is such crap. I can't stand it. It's a self fulfilling thing; MC and Hyun get lots of points because they get invited to everything and they get invited to everything because they have a lot of points.

Both Hyun and MC have both gotten almost enough points from the WCS circuit alone to qualify for Blizzcon. Even with no invites at all they would be at Blizzcon.

I'd like to see them prove it then. A tournament should not give WCS points if there are any invites at all.

WCS points should be the sole province of WCS itself and fully open tournaments, no invites or regional qualifiers. Korea should have double or triple the amount of points, and money, compared to other regions, a GSL Ro8 is easily as hard or harder than winning a mostly foreigner Lan.

Then, we can put a hard region lock in place because Korea will actually be worthwhile for Koreans. Boom, everybody wins, we get the best players at blizzcon, no one gets any freebies from invites, and the local NA and EU players actually have something realistic to play for.

If I know my Korean organizers and I think I do My bet is they take that extra money and put it all in first place -_-

Add provisions, have hard rules for how points and money are awarded. These things can be regulated.

MLG quit for different reasons too. Are we really worried about Kespa dumping Sc2 if blizz gave them more points and money, but with certain provisions? That strikes me as a very dubious proposition. It's worth exploring at least.

Ugh. Not enough good foreigners to interest me. I can watch GSL and proleague to see the best koreans duke it out. If you want more of that though this is looking pretty good.

If I can see Scarlett beating Flash on my new Acer laptop, every bad thing that has happened over the course of my summer, as well as my inability to go to the WCS America Ro16 groups because of school starting, will be instantly wiped away.

Taeja has Jaedong, Hyun and Pigbaby in WCS America, Zest, Polt, (Maru maybe) in IEM Toronto, I want to see his group for Red Bull Battlegrounds Detroit. Any combination of Hyun Polt Bomber Jaedong?

Tournaments are giving him the hardest groups before he retires lol

Scarlett, Bunny, Snute, Huk, pucK and the rest of Canada's best aren't good enough for you?

i for one won't be satisfied until a tournament literally invites the top 16 aligulac foreigners, holds their hands on the planes, gives them free lollipops and writes them poems about how good and special they are for being from countries other than korea

Taeja is going to face the highest challenge of his career with both his Wcs and IEM groups. Hope he will be fine enough. I would not want to be in his head, he will probably be the most followed player during the next couple of days.

Well the 3-0 series against Zest honestly looked more like an accident for Zest than a feat from Taeja. This revenge series will probably give us a good idea of how right or wrong this impression is.

dont worry bout it, we should get another foreigner in top 4 for SURE

recently we had Jim top 4 (tied for 3rd?) in IEM Shenzen

and before that in another IEM we had TLO in top 4

no other foreigners besides those 2 (and Naniwa) got top 4 in any IEM in all of HOTS, but we will get a foreigner in top 4 IEM Toronto FOR SURE, maybe even win the whole thing which TLO, Jim and Naniwa couldnt do
