In February of 2014, No Dice Gaming released its first ever SC2 team announcement. (found here.) It seems like this was forever ago, but in reality it has been just a short 3 months. A lot has changed since that original team announcement, a lot of successes as well as a lot of hiccups. This post is to give you all (the community) an update on the team. From where it was, where it is and where we plan to be. This is our first 3 month report of No Dice Gaming. We will try to give you a report on the team every 3 months to check in, let you know how we're doing and how we want to improve over the next time period. Until August, our next checkin however, i will give some periodic updates here in this thread, including tournament announcements, achievements we make over the next 3 months and updates with our roster and players as needed! Thank you for your support, I hope you enjoy the update! <3

I'm going to be honest in saying our first 3 months were a bit rough. It is truly hard to believe its only been 3 months, we've had so many ups and downs it feels like ages. Before we talk about the good, i'll go over some of the hardships we've already had.
The team, when first announced had a 4 man pro team, along with a 13 player academy. As it stands, we have 2 players on our pro team and 10 players on the academy. While none of the original pro team members remain, and half of the academy has already been replaced. When we first decided on making a SC2 division, we planned on taking our time and finding the right people, this proved harder than we thought it would. Sort of rushing into a full on competitive roster, we gained a lot of players who didn't really know eachother very fast. This proved very hard to manage and keep up with, as everyone wanted different things, no one was on the same page and many of the players did not get along very well. Also, when introduced we had a separate assistant manager than we currently have and different team captains.
After many sleepless nights, long talks & discussions, No Dice Gaming began cleaning out much of its roster. Whether it was people leaving because they didn't get along well, NDG removing for similar reasons, or just simple roster shrinking, we have gotten our roster down to a much more manageable size and condition. We have replaced our leadership with a much stronger assistant manager, more influential captains and as a result, our players are starting to bond and build chemistry.
No Dice began running small showmatches to gather information and gain skills needed to be able to run efficient, fun events. Then expanded it to a 4 man invitational. It took us two 4 player invitationals for us to be comfortable enough to attempt at a bigger event. Backed by sponsors and No Dice TV we were able to put on quite an impression on NDTV. You can see the details of our first ever 3k, 16 player invitational here. Learning a bunch from this event, we went hard at work to prepare for the next Invitational. Developing new graphics, content and working with our casters and players to improve the show, we were able to put on an even better event. Details here.

As it stands, No Dice Gaming has a very happy, competitive roster. Players are happy with the team and eachother, they are active in Skype, Gamevox and SC2, eager to participate and ambitious to improve. We are running tournaments/invitationals, playing in regular clan wars and hosting in house practice sessions. Our sponsors are coming up big and very helpful and supportive of our team, we are working on marketing our players better and getting their names more out there and known. The feeling recently around the team has been really great, much better than it has in the past and guys are really enjoying the atmosphere a lot which is really great. Currently we are playing in the SC2CTL which we are doing really great in so far have not dropped a series, beating many of the prolific NA scene teams in the process. Our current small 'Pro Team' allows us to really support them and help them out in as many ways as we can, while our 'Academy Team' continues to market themselves more and improve their individual play. We are very happy with the progress we have made over the last 3 months and cannot wait to see where we end up 3 months from now in August after a long Summer season.

The future of No Dice Gaming... I'm personally really excited for this. We really want to do everything we can to help further our branding, our players, and the Starcraft 2 community. We have more No Dice Invitationals lined up and possibly things even bigger. We really want to develop and market our players more and more, and start getting some more frequent results in big events like MLG, Dreamhack, GSL, WCS, Copa America, Comic Con etc... We hope to continue to enhance and develop our roster as we want to start competing in more big team leagues such as ATC for example. Hopefully we can continue to develop NDTV at the rate we are and be able to provide some more excellent content to the community. No Dice Gaming has a very bright future with many goals and aspirations, it all starts with the community however, as it takes all of you to make us who we are. If it was not for you, we would not have the team we currently have, the team we aspire to have nor the sponsors we have and the events we run. I would love to give my vote of thanks to all of you for your support and love. And I cannot wait to give you an even BETTER 6 month report in August.
