they are not doing really bad perse, but sc2 was slowly declining ever since its release. and balance teams' decisions were slow and mediocre at best. | ||

Don't Understand Why SH Isn't Removed For Chris Sake !!! I already knew this unit was going to be so fucking boring within the first day of HotS beta. I just don't understand why they just don't want to admit they're so fucking wrong and remove this worst designed unit ever. They just don't want to make further effort in redesigning the game and that is really pissing me off. I'm so fucking glad I'm not playing this game competitively anymore. Edit : While we're at it, why don't we want to get that fucking lurker back ? I don't care if we already have plenty of units to deal with marines and the likes. I just don't understand why they added this unit in bw then removed it on the next sequel. I'm truly speechless, really. Oh well, will stop there. But this David Kim's statement sure pissed me off. If I had to resume what he said, it's basically this : We perfectly understand your concerns (no sir you don't), and we're trying to work on it (meaning we're so damn lazy and won't do shit, instead we're going to nerf / buff less importants units so that we don't talk too much about the most important units and its removal / buff / nerf). It's been like this since forever. Always the same shit. I'm done. | ||

It took a ton of incompetence to not see that SH's were a problem as soon as they were introduced. It's really enraging at how incompetent they were with this unit. They took out Warhounds (a more obviously stupid unit albeit), why couldn't they have removed Swarm Hosts? - Either decreased locust hitpoints (by 10) OR - Is not affected by Upgrades. Either these nerfs will not change the game much and deal with the stalemate situation of the Swarmhosts... Anyone agree? or disagree or can point out why this is not viable i'd like to know ![]() | ||

IMO: I don't think it would fix ZvZ sh vs sh and would just make Swarm Hosts weaker in the other match-ups which is not what should be changed. In this case making the viper not be able to abduct massive units, brood lords would be a lot better and should counter swarm hosts making them less usable which will decrease the chances of swarm host vs swarm host. | ||

Comparing it to Mech: You need the Tanks for ground control. You need some Hellbats as buffer and defense vs mass light units. You need at least Vikings as anti-air. Usually you should also have some Thors, Ravens and eventually some BCs maybe. Not to forget the missile turrets to keep bases alive. As Zerg you can stand on just Swarmhosts and Spores and that's it? How is that fair? On a sidenote: Mutas are quite similar. If the Zerg gets a critical mass, he doesn't need anything else. With the very flexible production mechanic I think we could expect from Zerg players to have some more variance in their unit compositions. | ||

Buffing the Hydralisk to do more damage against biological air only must be the ugliest change to a unit ever but it's a solution I guess.. But removing the + Bio on Spore Crawlers makes it go even. The fear I have with it, is that in a normal ZvZ game Broods will never see the light of day. Also people were laughing about Broodling fights in WoL, it's not that much better than Locust fight... | ||

The Abduct change absolutely must not go through. How the fuck would you deal with late game Sky Terran? You can't pick off any of the BCs anymore, you can only target Ravens. Conceptually, you shouldn't be able to abduct massive units (it doesn't make much sense to me where a flying unit that is smaller than a battleship can yank a BC). Realistically, we all know the best way is just to get rid of free units. | ||
