Not having to be super focused. Watch? Depends 100% on the players. I compare it somewhat to my interest in sports. If it's my country playing then I can watch. But I don't watch random high level matches because it's fun to watch good games. Want to know a bit about the players playing to make it interesting. Like Bomber/Life/Gumiho/Maru/Soulkey or whatever. Then there is Leenock whom I know a bit more on a personal level. And cheering for him is like cheering for a friend. The only player I actually look forward to watching play. But there are a lot of players I tune in to, to watch high level games.

I only enjoy watching now, and even then it's selective games that I can watch. Play maybe a couple games a week now just so I stay eligible for CSL.

I've put in about 8,000 hours into the game, and I've had to take a lengthy break from playing due to the pain in my forearms, specifically my wrists. there really needs to be some sort of innovation in the RSI field, because I can only see the problem worsening as more people acquire access to computers throughout the world. imagine if our favorite players and progamers could have playing careers that lasted 20-30 years, instead of the 5-10 years they have now.

Or encourage them to go to the gym and do more than sit in front of a computer 10 hours a day. You don't have to be a progamer to injure yourself. Just take a look at the people sitting in an office job.

maybe he sees that as a big deal for the survival of sc2 and thinks this is more important than getting free wins

There is a lot you can do to avoid them, but sometimes it can just be inevitable.
