North America has had some sick events in the past. Back in the day, we had MLG, IPL and NASL. Plus there was Lone Star Clash, which was pretty cool But now...well shit.

The few who did read the rules and got 200 wins in time should be rewarded, don't give the lazy, uninformed ones another chance. Those guys have to grow up and become a pro at some point. Stop feeding them with a spoon.

But apparently players that can actually read the English player handbook couldn't do it. Too busy crying about Protoss or the new maps on Reddit I guess. Honestly, this. All of this fuckery would've probably been avoided if hopeful participants gave enough of a shit to read the rules. Thought I'm still incredibly disappointed in the NASL crew for not communicating anything with anybody which just wasted three hours of our time and more importantly the time of the progamers involved.

My remark was more aimed at organizers trying to ignore TL as the major community hub in general, also regarding that IPL Satellite EU qualifier. Communication is much easier when that happens on a central hub. If I don't know that something is about to happen, I don't know that I have to look it up. But everybody checks TL.net daily, so when a thread pops up, I know that I have to look it up. It shouldn't be too hard to put some intern to that task and the fact that we talk in this thread ("registration open") instead of a proper LR or official announcement thread bears witness for it. Again, not trying to defend the players that are (semi-)pro here, but sometimes I have the feeling that organizers don't want people to know about their stuff.
