The source I saw was Milkis doing a translation of what jangbi said on stream.
<Milkis> apparently <Milkis> 1) it's salry issue <Milkis> and <Milkis> 2) has to do with january <Milkis> and <Milkis> basically <Milkis> all the money he wonf roms econd places <Milkis> the team took it <Milkis> and the team told him he'd get a raise <Milkis> but they barely gave him any raises <Milkis> apparently <Milkis> a lot of teams <Milkis> wanted to pick up jangbi <Milkis> but <Milkis> january <Milkis> blocked the word from ever getting to jangbi <Milkis> apparenlty uh <Milkis> he made <Milkis> 60K in 2009 <Milkis> and 35K in 2010 <Milkis> lol
he lost interest.Stop making it like how he was enjoying sc2. He said in the stream " he even deleted sc2 off his computer" why wud he come back? hes making money playing game he loves. Stop being disillusional

apparently 1) it's salry issue and 2) has to do with january and basically all the money he wonf roms econd places the team took it and the team told him he'd get a raise but they barely gave him any raises apparently a lot of teams wanted to pick up jangbi but january blocked the word from ever getting to jangbi apparenlty uh he made 60K in 2009 and 35K in 2010 lol
That's really rough and if it's true(and not just Jangbi lying for whatever reason), it is ridiculous. How is this kind of practice allowed? I guess it's not(lol) but I'm mostly surprised that it went on for as long as it did.

and wtf with the misleading opening !? it makes you think this is some type of happy-go-lucky anime .. is this some sort of tactic they use or something ?

and how do you know he doesn't also love SCII? he personally said that he enjoyed the game in one of his past interviews and that's all we have. You can love both games If Milkis' translation is true(no reason not to be), it's possible that those factors played a really big role in why he quit SCII. He said he was enjoying it and he was becoming a top protoss player. I remember a PL game where he destroyed Flash, like literally caught his every move then just finished him off. Made it look easy and Flash was destroying everyone in PL. Suffice to say, it was very impressive. He was also RO32(or w/e it was) in Code S so it's not like Bisu who couldn't get into code A and didn't seem to like the game. Will he come back to SCII? I dunno, time will tell. If he gets a good offer from a foreign team, the above matters are fixed and he still wants the progamer life as well as enjoying the game, I can see him coming back.

ya, that's the game I was talking about. Pretty good read on what's going on and playing well and being solid overall. For the leenock game, to be fair, Leenock didn't play the greatest there. I mean, it seems like an obvious place to check yet he completed missed it? :S It was still good overall but that scouting error pretty much decided the game then again, it is his fault as well lol. hmm I still need to watch that BW game but his game 5 against Fantasy in OSL 2011 was the better one(from what I've seen so far). Holding off against the brutal assault of Fantasy then rolling him over to claim his first OSL gold.

why are you so defensive? the OP was just letting us know information. i don't think anyone would want him to come back to sc2 if they know he didn't enjoy it. and don't pretend like you know everything thats going on, he could like sc2 yet issues with the team made him quit. time will tell, and i don't think anyone is being delusional.
So not everything is blazing glory in Kespa teams after all, huh? :-/ Sucks for Jangbi, I hope some of the Kespa officials will go after the rumors and try to clear them up.

Lets make a deal. We stop being "disillusional", you read the thread. Sound good?

That is why he plays almost everyday on his SC2 account, right?

That is seriously appalling treatment, if true. If this is actually how it happened, Khan basically put him in an impossible situation and more or less gave no other options. Who knows, if he had gone to a foreign team and got to travel around the world and make good money, he might still be playing.
Damn shame, Jangbi was always my fav toss in BW and one of the people I had really high hopes for in SC2. Another reason why I fucking detest the whole notion of professional Esports.

Did he ever stream SC2 in the first place? Hell, was he even allowed to? Going "it might not be him playing" seems a little far-fetched but sure I guess it might be his grandma

If this is the reason he quit, that is so sad. He is one of the most talented RTS players I've ever seen.
I remember Flash once called him a "wall of skill" or something like that, saying that he was the only one who could stop him from winning his first courage tournament.
