BW fans pay streamers better is probably the biggest reason for most of the retired waiting for military. Also Mind Games trains Sc2 secretly for years and then comes back with a unique style and wins an GSL before he gets figured out.

He is a protoss, I know, but he's played protoss for years in the game where playing protoss was actually hard, and PvZ was probably slightly zerg favoured. Surely that must count for something! He was/is also really fucking good, like two-times OSL champion good. I know it's hard, but Jangbi is a really cool guy and he also looks like a young Jet Li, with a crooked smile that will melt the doors off of Uncle Scrooge's vault. ^^ its not scarlett, the problem is nerchio ^^ as the acer manager say, they dont get a protoss because "we wont anger nerchio" ^^ On December 21 2013 10:33 bo1b wrote: Believing one of the more corrupt businesses on the planet would make moral decisions, or even legal decisions is pretty optimistic. dude ? what has samsung to do with the act the team is done ... samsung is a fine company stay cool ... its at least 10 times better then apple xD On December 21 2013 10:06 Cele wrote: Not our fault everybody comes back to BW. Um before you pile on Samsung maybe find some better information than the OP's "I heard some rumors"? I heard some rumors that IdrA is the next Zerg bonjwa.

I really wish Samsung would let Jangbi do whatever he wants to do now. Imagine Jangbi joining some foreign team and becoming as successful as Jaedong.

And frankly even if we assume that ALL of this comes from JangBi's stream, there is perhaps a better source of unbiased information about JangBi than JangBi's stream, yes? Or at least a second side to the story? If all the trash talk about Samsung is coming from JangBi himself though, one thing that it does seem to clearly indicate is that JangBi himself feels mistreated by Samsung, which maybe sheds light on his extremely abrupt "retirement." For example if he felt that Samsung was not properly paying over his prize money, maybe he felt that there was no point in playing for them in WCS KR.

Players from KeSPA teams are or were basically treated like businessmen. They get paid competitive salary, and their achievements are marketing schemes. They get raises depending on the support they get from their sponsors and how well they do performance-wise, as well as how popular they are and how well they play in the marketing of their team. Stork was still more popular and more of an asset than the Jangbi that was playing better. That was the decision made by the people in charge of the team, the company Samsung had nothing to do with it, directly. Sure you might not like it, and it's changing little by little, but that was the most logical system to use from a Korean standpoint. It also makes tons of sense internationally speaking, and it helps maintain careers. These days people only care about prize money, and giving money to the elite, rather than focusing on creating stable jobs like they used to. That's probably one of the biggest restraints holding eSports down at this point.

That the player's prize money was taken from them however I think it's a team based thing though I could be wrong. For this case though, I would read this: On December 20 2013 21:01 Mahanaim wrote: I'm pretty sure Jangbi didn't say Samsung only returned a part of the money. Didn't he say that Samsung only added a small interest on top of the original money he gave? So what I heard was he got {original money+a very small interest}, which was what disappointed him a lot, since he expected more interest.
