In no western country, will this be considered normal for a straight male. Just my observation... I want to have Synd's back a little because I think you guys are targeting him pretty hard. If you grow up in a place where such actions aren't seen between to people it's going to catch you off guard. I too grow up in a culture that really frowns upon that kind of interaction. And no matter how open minded I am and could careless how Parting and MC acted, to me personally I still have to think through what I'm seeing and tell myself it's not wrong. This IS the product of being around culturally unaccepting adults and having their voices in the back of my head. No one can change how they are raised, but they can certainly change their views on right and wrong. So, Synd doesn't need to be forced to share your views on the video. Feeling disturbed is the emotion that overcame him in the video and he straight up says it's a product of his up bringing. I'm sure he is capable of rationalizing everyone else's view points but because of the way he was raised that's how he interprets what he saw. On topic, I think it was great to see them being so friendly. Although I was let down by the lack of participation from SoS.

Where we see it as romantic affection or a parent/child thing, there it's considered an act of friendship. You'll regularly see two buddies walking down the street holding hands. It's kinda weird seeing it at first, but you get over it ^^, Not at all sure this is of any prominence in any asian country tho. I'll go ask google right away! *GOOGLE EDIT* So, I just enlightened myself! It's actually way common is east asia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc.

I remember Machine sitting on someone's lap before to troll. (Pretty sure it was Machine, cause he's the smallest.) His girlfriend was there too. It's just what close friends that are confident in their sexual orientation do to troll. Just my observation. If you're not confident of your sexuality, you may not want to try it.

It's the kind of thing a girlfriend does to her boyfriend when she's feeling playful, or maybe a small child to a parent when they're bored or something. Not sure which of these relations do Parting and MC share. Gonna just start calling these closet homosexuals out on their hypocrisy and aggression on something so trivial and platonic as holding hands in a freaking interview. No one on here cares if you're gay, sigm. It's 2013. No need to pretend like you're something you're not. If you were not a closeted gay person, you would not be so invested in or "disturbed" by seeing two males holding hands in a platonic manner. People who are not gay do not care about things like this - it means nothing to them because they aren't abnormally focused on trying to determine what is or is not homosexual behavior. There's a thread for you if you want to come out of the closet, here: Gay Starcraft Players For reference, here's a famous, obviously closeted homosexual who was "disturbed" enough by gay people to create a camp to "cure" them: Michelle Bachmann's Husband (Daily Show)

I met Parting in Korea. He lost his match and I gave him a hug. I was shocked when he hugged me back- he's actually a PERSON!!

If you're not confident of your sexuality, you may not want to try it. They are not trolling. It's just very different in Korean culture. There are seriously Koreans who sincerely believe there are no homosexual koreans whatsoever. And that if there are homosexual koreans it's from a disease foreigners bring. It's on that level, that's why you will see a lot of Koreans hugging / holding hands without actually having it mean anything except for friendship. It is changing very quickly with the younger generations. But the fact that some older koreans sincerely believe that homosexuality within their people is nonexistant, should tell you enough. You can't actually compare Western hetero/homo culture with Korean whatsoever. It's insanely different. If you go to Korea you would think that like 99% of the population was homosexual or something. When the ones that actually are, are hiding it from the public. Coming out may cost you your job. This is Leenock with Polt, Hero, Gumiho and Center. He was also pretty famous for cuddling with MKP / JYP. Just have to accept that they have different culture norms. (The reason I know a bit about it (far from all) is because I'm gay myself and wanted to know their LGBT-culture since I saw so many of them holding hands / hugging in public. So I decided to read up on it instead of getting "knowledge" based on my own assumptions.)
