Don't post in this thread to say "gay gamers are like everyone else, why do they have a special thread?" It is something that has been posted numerous times, and this isn't the place for that discussion.

Hi. My name is Mora. I am the local queer Starcraft player, and i write this post with the intentions of allowing other gay Starcraft players to find each other.
Possibly You: What does sexuality have to do with Video Games? I don't care if someone is gay or not, it just shouldn't be on an SC2 forum.
Well, no.
It's so difficult to start somewhere in this explanation. blarhg
When you're gay you don't know if you belong anywhere. You're taught, culturally, that it's disgusting and wrong. It's cool to be cool with people who are gay, but it's disgusting to want to have a dick in your mouth.
You ask questions like: If i talk, will everyone know that i'm gay? Will my friends still be my friends if they knew? Will my family still love me? Am i less of a man because i like other men? Am i male enough to hang out with heterosexual men?
This kind of minority is tricky. Before you have a chance to gain experience in gay culture, you don't have the tools to indentify who is gay and who isn't. The only people who are gay are the flamboyant guys on your TV screen and the faggot who gets beat up at lunch time because he likes to wear pink jeans (though in bigger cities this is less the case). We don't have any way to indentify each other. We can't see the only other asian/white kid/wheelchair/fatty in our school and go "hey, we can join forces against haters and be without hate".
And the hate is a different kind too. Being gay is about what you're aroused by. It's a deviation in carnal human behaviour. When someone hates you for that deviation, you feel that you can't argue with them. That It's not wrong to hate something disgusting. You understand that disgust because you’ve experienced it in the other direction – that the thought of sticking my tongue inside a dank vagina made me want to puke. That when i would watch straight porn, and see the tits bouncing around, i would lose my erection.
You sympathize with the disgust.
That's fucked.
So then many of us tend towards a hobby or a lifestyle that will be inclined to bring us in contact with other gays. We shy away from sports, we befriend more women than men, we learn to like fashion; we become masters at gossip.
But i like sports. I didn't get the fashion gene. I like to have conversations about things that are interesting, not trivialities regarding who said hi to whom.
I like strategy games.
So where do i find another guy that has the same interests?
Imagine if the only place you could meet girls was an internet forum called "Heterosexuality". You've never seen them in class. You've not seen them on the street. You've never had a conversation with one, you've never even made contact. Man, that would suck.
It does suck.
So i've created this thread for a few reasons. 1) For gays to find other gays that actually have something in common, other than their seuxality. 2) For gays to ask questions. I have a lot of experience with sexuality and gender psychology. 3) For everyone else to ask questions. Want to know if gaydar really exists? Want to know how gays figure out who gets to be on top or the bottom? Why do gays talk with a lisp anyway? Does Mora really have a crush on Incontrol?
Go!
edit - If you're question is more personal and you do not want it broadcasted on tl.net, feel free to send me a private message.

hi tl im back.
miss me? *_*

LOL I was so happy to rush-post something about you and incontrol but you obviously saw it coming.
So yeah, start with that please. And I'm more interested in how the process of "dating" goes, rather than who gets to be on top first.

i miss you mora, i couldn't find you at IEM after the TL meeting

Incontrol is a sexy motherfucker. And he's a good Starcraft player. 'nuff said.
you need to be more specific about the dating question. We date like all other people. We will often drink coffee, go to movies, or go for beers.
though it's not unusual to go for walks on the beach either.

I was there but i ended up getting distracted with some other folks that i met at the TL.net meetup! I ended up going staying at the IEM party until like 2am or so? i think?
And then we toured many gas stations, buying alcohol, drinking on the street, and ended up at mcdonalds at 5:30 in the morning. lol
Man, i had SUCH a great time.
Don't worry, i'll be back next year for Gamescom, and i think i may stay an extra month - 3. I will come to France. <3

well, neither is my type. (hoho, i think i may go find a picture of someone who is my type. lol)
That being said. Morrow is prettier in a pet-animal kind of way, but idra's unapologetic i-don't-give-a-fuck attitude is requisite to all men i would sleep with.
So they tie.

Glad to see a LGBT thread here. I am bisexual and somewhat in the closet. My family does not know and living in central PA, I am scared to tell people since the area I live in is a really homophobic area.
On the plus side, a lot of girls think I am gay anyway and I get my own little harem :D

Oh, that's not really what I meant. I was mostly referring to the fact that in most movies, clips, parodies, etc, they depict the dating scene as just "wham, bam, thank you... sir". Now I know that there are obviously people who date and have long-lasting relationships, but I'm wondering, since it's a relationship between two men, and men are usually willing to have sex a lot easier than women (or not really, but there's no fidgeting regarding this aspect). Or at least that's the impression.
Is it really like that, mostly one-night stands? Does sex come first in a relationship? Is it as important as in a heterosexual relationship or is it a lot easier to have great sex? Hmmm... I think that about covers it, there's just too many things that come to mind at once. Hope I'm not over-burdening with questions.

what are your thoughts on being molested by Artosis?

Interesting, is that common for gays to be turned off by hetero porn? I always assumed the disgust for gay porn was mostly learned from society, so I didnt imagine the reverse would hold.

Why do some gay guys talk with a lisp and have feminine mannerisms? Is this put on or natural?

Who is more attractive TLO or Nazgul? Give reasons why. IMO one is very loveable while the other kinda rugged

What is your opinion on the really flamboyant gays? Do you and many other gays find that attractive or annoying?

As you mentioned, there is a range in the types of relationships that occur. That being said, it's generally a pretty promiscuous bunch. i now know about 10 married gay couples, and all of them have open relationships.
I'm more of a 1-night stander kind of guy myself. I have a pretty busy life, and spending extra time on relationship stuff isn't high on the priority list. Don't get me wrong, if i meet someone who's just all kinds of great, then i'd stick around, it's just not what i'm looking for right now.
Summer is busier for us in general, but this summer i think my count is 20 or so? (qualifying encounters being ones where at least one person ejaculates). On the day before the Vancouver pride parade i woke up in a hotel room (to my surprise). I roll over to see who has their arm around me and i think who the fuck are you?. lol
Then i roll over the other direction... and i say to myself who the fuck are you?
and then a 3rd guy walks out of the washroom.
i hope i enjoyed that night!

Hey Mora, I've missed your presence on the forum, I generally really enjoy your posts. As one of perhaps 5 gay people on TL, I have sympathy with the motives for the creation of this thread.
In reality though I'm certainly a starcraft player that is gay, not a gay starcraft player, since while having such a gimmick would be brilliant marketing material if I ever turned pro, but being categorised as "the gay one" gets a little tiring after a while.

I can't help it if I seem homophobic when the only gay people I know have pink highlights, wear hundreds of colorful bracelets and live at the local arcade playing DDR.
Oh and, I think Nada's fucking cute, that's not too gay is it?

I suspect there are a lot more than five gays on tl, given it has hundreds of thousands of accounts. It's just unlike girls on the internet gays can just get on with it without feeling the need to post "hey guys, I'm a girl!!!".

hmm..
I think at the start it is. Most of us try REALLY hard to be straight cause we're so terrified of being gay. Ultimately, if you're a guy and you're not disgusted by pussy, you're straight.
Bisexual men are a little different. I've met ones who are bothered by their attraction to men for a lot longer than gay guys are. Gays are forced to deal with it one way or another. Bisexual men can often have 'normal lives', getting married, having children, etc, without ever understanding or coming to terms with their bisexuality. Though that is less and less the case these days.
The older i get, the less disgusted i am by women. In fact, i watch straight porn about 80% of the time. I dunno, there's nothing quite so masculine as a man fucking nailing some chick. I like the triple pen kind of stuff. lol
