I don't get people. They complain when Koreans "show no emotion" but are disturbed/frightened/unpleasantly surprised when they do show emotion in a way they're not comfortable with because of some silly and outdated social standard. If you found this video disturbing in any way, aside from the fact that the interview wasn't at least twice as long, please get over yourself.

If someone's ignorant enough to buy into the robot Koreans stereotype, then it's unsurprising that they'd also have issues accepting cultural differences as well.

Unfortunately the guy who posted his homophobic/dumb comment managed to get it in on the first page, so a lot of people are focused on that. Otherwise, I think it's a relatively small minority of people on here who find Korean affection "disturbing" (implying homosexual behavior and negative connotation).

The irony of that poster is that most of us are aware that people who express critical feelings towards male affection (non-sexual) & homosexuals tend to harbor closeted homosexual feelings themselves. Being an asshole about such trivial things really just "outs" these people to the entire internet. Haha. The irony.

i've always found that asian cultures are much more loosened up,.. relaxed when it comes to social interaction. 2 males being able to touch eachother or wrestle without being gay is not something you see often in the western society.

i can only guess insecurities, social expectances and ego-trippin alpha males trying to prove themselves in the western world , are the main factor for people to be disgusted by it. those are things something i don't see in asian culture as often.

homosexuality isnt generally accepted in korea, its rather still in the closet but there hasnt been any loud voice over it. so this behavior is taken as just being friendly, being a homo doesnt come into people mind so instinctively. meanwhile in usa, since the voice of equal sexuality is loud, the opposition is just as loud and i believe this is where the homophobia grew so big. for example, two kids holding hands can be made fun of as being homos (amongst children or discouraged by grown ups), even grown ups being friendly to kids as can be seen as pedophilia, its weird.

Nice interview and all, but seriously, what the flying fuck was Parting doing with MC's hand? It's the kind of thing a girlfriend does to her boyfriend when she's feeling playful, or maybe a small child to a parent when they're bored or something. Not sure which of these relations do Parting and MC share. Besides that, though, it's always great to see these informal, behind-the-scenes kinda interviews, where people can just relax and talk normally, without all the nerves of being on stage. Wish we'd see more of them.

Such a funny interview! I love all the jokes and banter =) Need more interviews like this! Often one on one interviews make the players too awkward or uncomfortable being completely focused on like that so their manner is very subdued.

I think PartinG is just being familiar and fidgety, you can see him picking at his own fingers too and MC's a friend and his fingers are right there. I do the exact same to my cousin's hand or my best friend's hands and no one ever bats an eyelash because I'm a girl. PartinG is just being human.

In fact, in times past it was very normal in western cultures for men to display their affection for one another. Male-male non-homosexual affection is great! (And so is homosexual affection for that matter, though it doesn't apply here as far as I know.) Take your insecurities elsewhere please.
