Hello everyone, I play guitar (studied at MI in hollywood, had private lesson with Steve Vai) and I am a big starcraft fan (im currently diamond). A big thing I feel that most StarCraft 2 players missed out on of StarCraft 1 is the music.
While I cant sing nor do I know anything about auto tuning I wanted people to see (or remember) how great the music was. So I recorded an instrumental song that combines some StarCraft 1 (Terran 1 and Terran 3) music along with StarCraft 2 (Heaven's Devils)
Please let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions or anything.
Other than the game itself, I would have to agree with you that pure-SC2 players definitely missed out on the greatness that is SC1/BW music (and overall audio).
Nice job man. 5/5! Subscribed to your channel if you decide to do more!

Thanks for this. Awesome!
BW sounds/music is a lot more impactful than SC2 in my opinion. Music was great and in game audio had a kick of sorts. There's nothing like the ohh shit moment when a 200/200 mech army sieges your base down while SC2 sounds are just so generic.
Trained by Steve Vai, and yet you oversimplified the bass line (excluded the tremolo) and got some really important notes wrong. This is an okay recording.
BW sounds were great. This music is really nice, I kinda wish you had put in that really climactic part of Terran 1 (4:15-5:00) done by the synth-horns or whatever in that mix. The second half of Terran 1 was the one song off the BW sound track that got stuck in my head after I played.
Not gonna lie, this sounds so good that I got goose-bumps like whenever I hear a legendary rock song being played well. Yeah, you simplified some parts a lot, that doesn't bother me that much. I just enjoy the interpretation.
My mom always told me not to say anything if you don't have something nice to say, but I want to help so I'm going to be try to be constructive here.
The fact that you have multiple "threads" of sound playing at the same time, with no mixing done to adjust the volume of each instrument in relation to one another, is very distracting when I focus on your song and not play it in the background.
For instance, from 1:55 to 2:24 mark, the lead guitar, bass and cymbals are all playing completely different tempos and they do not mesh together well. I'm trying to focus on the lead guitar, but the cymbals are contrasting so loudly that it's taking my focus away even when I am making a concentrated effort to listen to the one instrument in particular.
It shows promise but something about it just sounds..off. Very dissonant and at times feels like different songs are playing at the same time. I'm no music expert but the posters above were able to better convey what I'm trying to say.

Awsome! And I definitely plan too. I think I may focus on video game music but not be dependent on them. Let me know if you have a suggestion for a song

Thank you so much! I would love for them to use this during tournaments

I had a private lesson with him for guitar, not bass. With the song being over 8 minutes long, I wouldn't be surprised that I may have gotten some notes wrong but do you mind telling me where they are?

Thanks and you are right, there was so much in Terran 1 that I wanted to use, funny enough that I think it's the song I used the least from

You're absolutely right. This was one of my first songs that I mixed and it being a long song with over 20 instruments didnt help any :/ but it was great practice
