Q: Any details on how WCS points are given out?
Mike Morhaime: Additional details about WCS points to come later.

Really? The koreans who are so greatly better than the foreigners and more so have more good players than everywhere else combined only get 5 spots, equal to the much weaker regions? Im all for foreigner only infrastructure but that is pure robbery. Don't be surprised if the 5 NA representatives will be polt, violet and 3 esf/kespa guys I presumed viOLet wasn't coming back to the US, with his team in GSTL now. Anyone have any news on this? If you don't have to be living in NA to play in NA then it doesn't matter, Violet can still play NA GSL from Korea, but there might be lag issues. And he's in Code B. Fits the criteria of a Code B Korean on a team with money. We should make a list lol Mvp to play in NA GSL He's in Co.... HOLY FUCK EDIT: BRB RUNNING LAPS
omg....noooooooooo000ooooo

Yeah, WCS, They are taking GSL's tiered system that's why I said GSL.

I'm pleased that we will still be getting GSLs and MLGs not affiliated with this. Best of both worlds. I for one probably won't be watching the MLG NA WCS qualifiers unless they draw a lot of mid-tier Korean talent that doesn't think they can make it out of GSL.

whoa that's surprising.

Yes vods, and I think each region like NA needs to be only NA players meaning no koreans even if they live here. Its better for the greater good to keep it strictly how they intended. I dont mind paying a little for vods since they cost money to do as long as its reasonable.

Q: How will the team leagues/PL fit into all of this?
Mike Morhaime: We will accomodate their schedules, but no points for team leagues for this year's season.

He could win the first half of the tournaments and then rest haha

How is it for the greater good, not letting better players into the league ensures that the players in the league don't get any better making it laughable in comparison.

Well, here's to hoping that we see even one foreigner in any of the 3 season finals, and the Blizzcon final.
|
Will the point amount increase in correlation to the amount of Koreans playing in that tournament :D? You know, it's more difficult.

:Looks like Axiom/Acer will move their players to GSL-NA, not sure about Azubu Only the Koreans who had no chance at a GSL/OSL would move across so how does it lose prestige? you really think Life and MC are going to go and play in GSL-NA? If the prize level is the same, why not? Would you rather go through a brutal KR-GSL where you face high calibre opponents from the get-go (Qualifiers) Or would you go to a GSL-NA where the competition is a few players if the prize money is the same. I can totally see someone with free-reign (MC) doing that.
