With his long history in eSports, particularly in the FPS scene, and as the current Editor-in-Chief at Cadred.org, Richard will bring a new excitement and perspective to Climbing The Ladder's weekly discussions.

one of the biggest mouths in eSport. Sometimes too loud, but I like following him. He often is spot on with his comments and direct, when others talk just fluff. Having such a guy in our scene is very necessary.
This guy is a day9 hating loud mouth who provides nothing of value to the scene at all. Writers like him are a dime a dozen. Have you ever seen the twitter fights he gets into? He sounds like a child. He's the type of person who thinks the louder he shouts, the more right his opinion will be. Give me slasher over him any day of the week.
Chanman's going for all the controversial people. I bet his next show will feature combatx or deezer.
Nothing personal against the guy, but I find myself disagreeing with a lot of his opinions and the way he presents him. Makes me sort of disappointed because I enjoyed tuning into CTL for its pretty sound and interesting discussions about esports. I hope my premonitions are wrong about this addition. Best of luck.
A cynic and a contranian. Hopefully it works out for John and Chanman. edit: he's credible and knowledgeable, I don't like his approach or the way he voices his perspectives.
Surprised to see so much negativity around Mr Lewis here. I PMed him on here once with a few questions and his reply was prompt and rather informative.
The guy's interviews are very in-depth and ask interesting and probing questions a lot of the time.
Granted I don't have Twitter, so perhaps his output is bad there.
Tbh we need more harshness and probing questions in the scene. State of the Game and Inside the Game are very, very cliquey places, albeit the former is a lot better on this front since the relaunch.
Perhaps he does needlessly 'hate' on Day9, but tbh somebody has to. Day9 is so blatantly coasting these days because he's untouchable, his casting at least used to be far better than it is nowadays. That's what happens when you have sacred cows in a scene though.
I think it's nice, no matter who you bring together with Richard Lewis, you're almost assured to get something out of it, he's usually well prepared and knows how to ask good questions and isn't afraid to ask difficult ones. At worst you'll get some drama out of it, but I don't think it'll cause anything major, he can be a bit aggressive at times but a co-host role isn't a fight to the death in the arena, Climbing the Ladder will be fine.
Looking forward to getting on it and becoming more proactive within the SC2 community in general. Hopefully doing it as such a belated time that people don't consider it financially motivated or some form of "selling out" or whatever.
Appreciate the offer from Chanman and John. When we've done shows together in the past it's worked and felt right so I hope that continues.
A great step for Chris and John in this show. Richard will bring something to the table that none of their other hosts have before, and it will be incredibly interesting to watch and comment on.
I don't always agree with Richard's opinions, but he has them..and that's a damn good start! Look forward to calling in Richard.
If there's one personality I'd rather not see coming towards sc in general, it's definitely this guy.. Another show I definitely won't be watching anymore.
To be clear as well, this isn't about making the show about me. I'm taking the "co" as the most important part in "co-host" and want to augment a format that I think John and Chris have perfected. As a long time admirer of the show I'm not looking to do anything that will rock the boat, just to bring something a bit different to the mix.
