That's true, at least it draws some much needed attention to an underappreciated pillar of our community. Chanman's such a hard worker, hopefully this results in more viewers for him! That being said though, I also say that I won't watch anything involving Destiny. Imo, [bold]he's proven that he doesn't give a shit about the game or our community[/bold] - he's done a lot of bad things for us, and he shouldn't try to come back.
How in the fuck do you get off saying such incredibly fucking stupid shit? You realize I've dumped more time into SC2 and SC2-related endeavors than pretty much every other person outside of the pro scene (and more-so than some people even involved in the pro scene today). You realize that I've played BW possibly since before you were even in fucking GRADE SCHOOL, right? How the fuck does someone like you get off saying some incredibly stupid shit like "he doesn't give a shit about our community?"
When I complain and say that no one in the industry gets paid, and you say I'm just crying wolf, guess what? YOU are the entitled little fucking piece of shit who doesn't give a fuck about the community. YOU are the one that doesn't give a fuck that MLG volunteers, website writers, artists, designers, show-hosts, b-teamers, streamers without partnerships, and a whole lot of other people in e-sports don't get paid SHIT. You think that you can just sit there and armchair coach everyone else about everything, and then say I'm just "crying wolf" and "not giving a shit" because I think the fact that most people are unpaid or underpaid deserves attention?

Really? The "incident" was nothing but the home boys deej, iNcontroL, and IdrA relentlessly ragging on Destiny for no reason, then when Destiny had had enough, and made a slight insult, (much like the rest of them had been doing the entire time), they all flipped shit and got all angry for some hypocritical reason.
It reminded me of bullying. Now that I know more of Destiny, I can comfortably say that it is likely that's what it was, too, as that's what the whole old boys club of SC has been doing to Destiny for a very long time.
It boggles my mind that people haven't gone absolutely crazy against deej for it, too. Someone like that is meant to be professional. He broke, which is fine, but then he didn't even apologise. He didn't show any remorse. And no-one is angry.
And I know people will get up in arms, all about "he's done so much for eSports" etc., which is completely irrelevant in every way possible. Anyone remember this?
The people who are blindly insulting Destiny are the real reason E-Sports gets hurt. The pure fact those people are too narrow minded to look past what is the past and on to what could be a bright future for ChanmanV here is what ends up being anything but beneficial for the scene.
If people were to just put down the pitchforks and maybe see this play out, there just might be some beneficial content to more than just the E-sports scene but themselves as well.
Regardless, can't wait to watch! Very excited to see ChanmanV and Destiny do their thing. Good luck to both!

After that, DjWheat goes absolutely bananas. Probably because he wasn't really aware of what had happened (Incontrol's high five to Idra was an attempt at humilitiating Destiny = bullying).
After the incidicent, Destiny attempted to be the bigger man by making a public apology (cus he was partly guily at creating a heated up discussion), while Incontrol made these kind of comments on reddit;
You comparing an executive business meeting to Inside the Game is flattering but completely out of line. If I was trying to run a business meeting I wouldn't have Destiny in there. He'd be running coffee for us or taking phone calls in a low cut skirt. I don't think your analogy holds up.

You know, i actually like inControL and Idra, but on this case, better not defend them. They acted stupid, their intentions were made even clearer in the "aftermath" on reddit. These were retarded comments.
Not saying that Destiny was right or anything, as a matter of fact i disagree with him - but there is no reason to "gang up" and try to bash him. And don't get me started on Wheat, but that's a different thread i guess.

Seriously, FUCK YOU.
This is why nice things can't happen. Just to touch on what you said; nobody goes into e-Sports for money.

You see, i faintly remember Stephano talking about exact this matter.. He kinda disagrees with you.

I wasn't referring to professional gamers, I was addressing the individuals addressed in the post I quoted.

What's it like living in your bubble? Because I'm down here in the real world where there are hundreds, if not thousands, of artists, hosts, streamers, players, managers, engineers, webdesigners, advertisers, and producers who are in e-sports SPECIFICALLY for the money. It is their JOB.
What Destiny is talking about now makes totally sense: Starcraft 2 could definitely benefit from an improved business model (both from a monetary perspective and an esports perspective). The exact shape of the business model is completely not something I would let Destiny take care off. Instead, I happen to believe that ATVI is one of the few multibillion dollar companies which have too few MBA's employed.
