'abuse' is fairly vague word. Maybe a 19 year old making out with a 14 year old is illegal. Stefano making a joke about it could be a way of seeking clarification. I'm not willing to condemn him the basis of the few off color remarks. Even if Stephano was making a joke about sex. He did appear to believe it was a confidential conversation. What if it's just his way of inquiring from a peer what is legally and/or socially acceptable? I think you're making assumptions about his intent (gloating) that are not necessarily accurate, he may have been attempting to make a moral inquiry. edit: s/abuse/molest | ||

Yes I have a reason to comment on the knowledge or ignorance of posters. These posters are part of the Sc2 community. If these people have a detrimental behavior then we have an issue. After reading this thread, I for one say that if I had kids, I'd think twice before bringing them to a NA starcraft event. | ||

You could just chalk that up to "english-as-a-second-language". BLING said "fucked", not Stephano. This has been repeated ad-nauseum but people keep going on and on about how Stephano said he raped a 14 year old. The word rape never once showed up, it takes a pretty sick mind to go from "abuse" in the context of StarCraft to "rape" IRL. Abuse could mean so many things, including "beating at StarCraft". Hell, so many players directly say RAPE and yet we understand the context of this. For all we know he could have roflstomped Life on the KR ladder. Once again, thank you to the SCReddit community for screen capping an irrelevant 5 seconds of a stream, and getting a lot of fans favourite player get suspended. I know that my October is significantly less exciting without Stephano participating in leading foreign tournaments. It boggles my mind how people think "exposing" some kind of alleged misbehaviour will help the scene, or help fans, or help organizations. The tattletales do nothing but hurt the community. EG's suspension does nothing except hurt the fans. | ||

I would say abuse is even worse than fuck, since in most case "fuck" means that the girl agreed to have sex with him. But the word "abuse" definitely means the girl disagrees with his action, even just hitting is pretty bad. | ||
