I honestly think there was zero story boarding done for this. The guy just filmed a bunch of bullshit while out on his joyride and then cut it together in the most haphazard way possible.

I actually need to check if i remember right. They discussed it on Lo3. e. So it was a "pilot episode" the creator made for the kickstarter. Sorry for misinformation. VoD of the interview with the producer. http://www.twitch.tv/onemoregametv/c/3095788 (Slasher Asks about the production, making of the film etc ~1:02:45. Answer about Kickstarter/Pilot ~1:04:25) From that interview it sounds like the documentary cost him around $15,000 to make, and he said that 2 years was enough time.

Haven't seen this yet to compare the two but it doesn't sound too good so far lol The smash bros documentary that came out a month ago you saw several years ago?

I feel like a complete idiot now for actually enjoying it A LOT, perhaps the most I've enjoyed a SC2-related documentary so far. I even loved the music, something must be terribly wrong with me apparently. Anyway, keep up the good work, stay strong and looking forward to the next episodes. Oh and it touched me emotionally too, which seems to be the biggest issue reddits are bitching about. I have to admit that even tears were shed. So good. Yeah, I'm with you there. But it may just be because I just like Artosis and Tasteless, haha :D

In 2 years I expect a full length 2 hour documentary fully polished and ready to be shown at multiple film shows AND probably winning awards. The next "parts" better be rolling out briskly. I feel sorry for everyone that donated to this kickstarter. edit: That being said the first 30 minutes wasn't bad. And in 2 years you will get the full length documentary. It's downright adorable how some people have issues with waiting a week when they've been waiting for over a full year already. Complain about the documentary all you like. Complain about the delays, complain about the quality, whatever. You probably have a good point doing that. But that they're not showing it all in one go and make you wait a week per 'episode'? Complain about that, and you're just looking for something to complain about at this point.

If it's a distribution deal I don't get why BitTorrent or Youtube could have been used instead.

But that one had my full confidence so was I willing to put my money to donate. People are saying you can't compare the two, but SoS had clear red flags to begin with, which is why people were justified in being skeptical.

Unfortunately I'd have to agree that this is probably the gross truth, especially after seeing what Travis B. was able to do with The Smash Bros documentary with only 9k in donations. This is just a bunch of interviews clumsily mashed together with sappy music and random clips in the background. There is no organization, no direction, and no overarching theme; nor did I learn anything new about Tastosis. Artosis came off as kind of annoying in some of the clips as he was following Tasteless around babbling. Can't say I expected much in any case...Hopefully it gets better...

The problem is that the community is pissed because of the drama stuff surrounding this project, and this is influencing how people are judging it. Oh come on that is a piss poor excuse. Does people being pissed off changed all the awesome content in nothing else then interview after interview? Does people being pissed off changed all the great music and sound into a bad audio with 25min elevator music that drowns out the people talking sometimes?

You seem to forget that there is three more parts coming. Trust me, most of who were disappointed -- wants something else than 'circlejerk' about e-sprots and whatever we already got, but don't count everything out just yet.
