I disagree with him, but wanting someone who is something other than a pretty face in front of the camera is a valid concern. Why shouldn't the job go to a woman who knows about sc2?

I get the feeling ms sporrer is only out for attention and she has no interest in starcraft or esports.

veralynn was just banned by Kennigit.
That account was created on 2012-03-02 18:38:38 and had 55 posts.
Reason: Chill and i used to PM each other whenever a new girl would join the community with a funny comment like "WEE WOO WEE WOO ATTENTION WHORE ALERT" because we knew it was inevitable that they wouldn't be able to handle the attention potential. Now and again we would find a rare exception like susie or haemoculous who could deal, but they were very rare.
As we both got busier and the community exploded, we lost track of who was who and only now and again see accounts like this. I'm glad our old adages still hold true.

Simply the looks. It's about viewer count in the end like it or not.
**Edit** I'll also leave this here + Show Spoiler +

True enough. Although NASL sound guy(assuming it's the same person) has been awarded with several chances so i can't say why Lindsay shouldn't. If she's coming prepared to make a good job, then she is more than welcome on stage in my book.

Lauren Elise hotter imo, hey real or not double D's are double D's, and that exercise video was very nice ^^
Lindsey still very pretty though, looking forward to seeing her in new content.

.... Are you in middle school?
"I guess people who express legitimate concerns are just mindless jealous haters."
What? Seriously? -_-
More on topic, it will definitely be interesting to see how well she is going to handle her position this time around. I also suspect that she's probably not that interested in eSports and only in it for the attention, but you never know... going to give her the benefit for the doubt for now. And even then, I don't know how much it matters why she's in it as long as she doesn't do a poor job. We'll have to wait and see.

And everyone who hasn't been a pro and tries to make sense of pros looks dumb. There's no legitimate concern there. It's nonsense so it makes sense to think some emotion is playing a role, jealousy as good a guess as any.

she showed no sign of wanting to stream or anything since she ***cameback ***...its over deal with it ,she had a chance last year she passed on it ... too bad gg next batter ... if you are looking for a blond gamer chick ,watch tara babcock ,she has the look you are searching and play wow,sc2,d3, and pretty much everything

I wonder what people would think if some random fat kid publicly messaged day9 and asked him to teach him starcraft as a chance to leverage himself into the scene and ride on the back of day9's 130k twitter followers and huge presence in the community.

Weeee, guys it's a GURL, let's all go crazy.
Also I'm pretty sure she can make way more money being excellent with her modeling/acting stuff than by tediously collecting steam dollars playing a game that is going to be quite the challenge for a complete beginner.
It seems like she's genuinely interested in keeping her word and involving herself with a community that hasn't exactly always treated her nicely. Good for her (if she turns out to be a evil esports killer we'll just send Elly after her).

Great to see Lindsey back.
It's a good thing when people outside the game take interest

?? are we only commenting cos shes fit and thats the end of it and lets face it not many fit girls are associated with this game . . and i did say NOT many so dont go and rattle off 6 pretty grils

You guys should give it a break and find it fortunate that anyone outside the Starcraft scene takes interest. It is always good that more and more people wanna join in and learn more about this game. Put yourself into her position at that time and anyone could have made the same mistakes. Cheers!

Lol, it's not exactly rocket science. A community of video game nerds is obviously going to pay a lot of attention to stunningly beautiful women associated with the game. There aren't many women in the Starcraft scene, let alone one's like Lindsey.

I couldn't help but wonder as well.
In all seriousness, It's not in my power to exile her from this community, nor would I if I could. If shes gonna be a part of it, whatever that is her choice; the more the merrier. However, it does hold true that most women... or girls, go overboard for the sake of attention, and it really really does not look good.
But im not going to lump em all in one category, if you're an attention whore who doesn't try to immerse yourself in the community... so be it, I know anyone serious won't be following it.
