Simple. lol, did you ever listen to idra? Idra seems to know the line.. He can keep his persona without pissing off his sponsors. oh yeah, you think he doesn't talk shit behind people's back in private?
As funny as this thread is, you're probably gonna regret posting stuff like this in the future.

I lost it at "getting fired from Team Liquid." Whoever wrote into sponsors must have had dubious motivations and a tenuous connection to the community, as they apparently don't know anything about Starcraft

the only difference is that the other pros don't have people inside their accounts, stalking their shit, watching their chatlogs. which i think is quite frankly the only explanation for her having seen that log if you or TT1 didn't leak.

I would just take it for what it is. Its an obvious business decision.
Idra is a dick, he got some shit for being an ass to avilo. Nothing like this. But, still, he isn't without critics. People despise EG as a whole..

He makes Juan and Idra look like pillars of the community. Keep streaming Steven, please be more careful an grow up just a tad. Nobody's leaked private chats of them. I'm sure if we had limitless access to private pro conversations, a lot of players would be vilified.

lets be honest here, ive had multiple conversations like this with my friends over skype/msn/irc w/e u want... i dont see this as that bad, i dont see why people are jumping to conclusions about u three.
anyways sad for ROOT and i hope they go for, totally understandable situation though, this could severely hinder their future sponsors to pick ROOT up.
ROOT/DESTINY HWAITING! <3

Never in a million years would have I tought this could be the reason destiny was kicked out of the team root as i saw the title. Yet I am not suprised, these people most have some serious mental issues. I feel sad for these poor kids.

Any team that would support a low life like Destiny obviously has no place in E-Sports. If Aaron Rodgers acted like Destiny do you think he would still be playing in the NFL? I don't think so.
This whole incident really shows his own level of insecurity.. Going behind a friend's back and doing some shit like he did is just disgusting.. The girl trusted him with the pictures, but he went and gave them out to friends... The worst part of all of this is obviously him sending her a picture of his dong. I honestly thought that weird lonely guys on chat roulette did that sorta stuff, and not someone who's suppose to be a "Professional" gamer. It's quite unfortunate that someone with so much talent and intelligence could be such a horrible person.. But his actions still don't surprise me lol
Good move ROOT Wait, so what you're saying is that it's alright for a female to send nudes to a guy, but not the other way around? And if you do send pictures of your dong to a girl, especially after she had sent nudes to you, you're weird and lonely? God damn mang, you just went full derp.

You're professionals at that point and your SPONSORS typically expect you to conduct yourself as such. If the rest of the pro community is as short sighted as you're being, I really fear for the future of eSports. Did you really just compare domestic assault to this? I'm trying to wrap my mind around that. Apples and oranges I'd say. Didn't Tigerwood get suspended and penalized for cheating on his wife or something? Probably a better comparison Not really. Tiger Woods based his image around being a good kind of whole, family guy. Destiny has no such deception at the heart of his appeal. He is who is he is and is pretty unashamed about it. Sponsors in the case of Mr Woods withdrew because of the discrepancy between Wood's public face and his private behaviour. At least that's how I read it. I don't see how it is any relevant how destiny based his images. The sponsors that are behind Destiny's payroll are most likely all professionals that expects same things just the sponsors for tigerhood expected him to be. . Sponsors KNEW (or should have) what Destiny was like when they took him on board. Indeed the post from one of the sponsors acknowledged that his stream persona was desirable to them. Again, fuck E-sports growing to a large size if the people within it are expected to act like saints to achieve that. And yet sponsors bailed when drama happened. They wanted destiny's personality and his charisma, but they don't want anything from his drama. Anyway, I don't see the point of what exactly the sponsors want is any relevant to this issues. The point is that you can get fired for participating or doing things that has no correlation with the job you have at hand. Conduct yourself as such so you don't get under scrutiny in these problems Or maybe employers should gain more of a sense of perspective about things. I've heard of people who get fired for what's on their social networking page or whatever. I dislike this growing erosion of the divide between private conduct and public conduct I suppose. In this case I don't think Destiny was wise, but equally his behaviour is that terrible. Again though, he's pretty much earning money from streaming so it's not equivalent to getting fired I suppose.
A good comparison is actually Anthony Wiener. Of course he was a member of the House of Representatives, so when his penis pic got leaked he was going to have to resign. However as I saw him he was a pretty open and relatively courageous legislator, or at least actually vouched for his district.
It's just sad that we live in a world where getting your penis out is a much more egregious offense than rank incompetence or any other number of things you want to name.

the expectation of privacy is a mistake and nothing that should be assumed. thats not my opinion thats how things are. he's a public figure on a team whose revenue is dependent on sponsorships therefore what he does in private could have consequences for him. all the while you may not care but other people may

you know, it's entirely possible that some players actually embody the word "professional". it's kind of awkward that you're even hinting at some sort of equivalency between most pro players and destiny's never-ending derpy antics, though I assume it's being done in good faith and friendship.
anyway, I'm a little lost as to how the loss of destiny impacts either him or ROOT. people can use this incident to snipe from the sidelines of the email sponsors/don't email argument, but he hasn't been relevant anywhere but his self-contained streaming revenue world in a very long time. ROOT doesn't need him and his absurd personal drama, destiny doesn't need ROOT, what's the problem besides that destiny can't stop sabotaging himself and that some people are sad because even destiny's friends have to professionally disassociate themselves with his BS?
