I watched this live and was thoroughly entertained, however nobody is bringing up that at one point Ganzi goes "I'm Gay!" and goes into some stereotypical and a bit exaggerated flamboyant "dance moves".
What I don't understand is how that's not being attacked the same way?
There would be nothing wrong with him beeing homosexual (but he still would get trouble when his sponsors take that sentence for real and are homophobic)...
I quite often read the excuse that those happenings were private stuff and shouldn't affect his job, that the girl did stuff which is even worse and that Destinys behavior is normal to some people... that doesn't matter.
Players who have a sponsor need to be able to represent him with an positive impression*. Destinys actions were private but they got public known so that the sponsors/Root have to consider if they want to be associated with the players actions.
The actions of the girl aren't nice but no excuse for Destinys behavior and stuff which some people consider to be "normal" isn't necessarly morally correct or lines up with properties sponsors want to be associated with*.
The majority of the emails to the sponsors were most likely written by the SHITREDDITSAYS community.
I agree that we should try to avoid writing complains to the sponsors but I will consider writing emails to Destinys (future) clan managers and organizers of tournaments he wants to take part in when he makes us look bad once again which only seems to be a matter of time...
I fear that people like him affect the impression* of "the maintream" about Starcraft and might make it harder for teams and tournaments to find sponsors and to establish Esport and Gaming as a hobby you can write in your applications!
What I consider to be troublesome this time:
- sharing nude pictures of other people and insulting them
- horrible attitude about females
- his sexual desires regarding a 15 year old fangirl (all of them actually)
- sending his nude pictures to fangirls
(Destinys crisis management
- he thinks sharing pictures of fangirls and dishonouring them is totally fine
- his opinion about child pornography (he wrote that his sole reason to not accept those pictures is because he thinks that people want to trap him...)
- he not only wants to sue that girl BUT ALSO threatens to ruin that girls life
- he doesn't feels sorry once again

I really don't get this hole discussion.
Destiny showed some nude pictures to his friends. Not the finest move and quite frankly, to me this seem to be childish bragging. The girl finds out and decide to get back on him including a much bigger audiance. Also not a fine move and as well a bit childish but hey, she is young and probably pretty hurt so I can comprehand her move too. Root fears for their future development and decides to make a cut, also unterstandable.
What I find interessting is the reaction of the comunity. Why is this such ab big deal to the public that Root and their sponsors needed to deal with this? To me this seems to be highschoolcrap between two probably not very mature people which should not bother anybody besides the people involved, but what do we get? 100+ pages arguing about who is more to blame, destiny or the girl. Imo the answer is easy, both are, but again, why would anyone not involved care about their exchange? I really don't get it.

Huh Destiny didn't break the law. However bluetea definitly did (a quick search shows that it's apparently a third degree felony in the US, that is punishable by no less than 2 years of jail). My first sentence doesn't excuse Destiny's actions. However the second makes Bluetea the delinquent that got away with it really surprisingly well.

Sponsors don't like fielding emails about pictures of penises. Basically that's the crux of this whole thing.
