I dont believe gom would underhandedly punish him just for being sick on the other side of the world and missing a qualifier.

Quite embarrassing how people are quick to draw conclusions based on their own stupidity and lack of checking up facts.

Should be much easier to get a better result there though. GOM's response is nothing strange either. If the player gives up his spot then he doesn't deserve to comeback in a similar position. They would have to re-earn it just like the other guys who forfeited.

Yeah we as fans know better than Thorzain what's best for him. After all maximum player skill is most entertaining for the fans, therefore Thorzain must practice in Korean. Also, very few foreigners have commented how miserable, depressing and lonely it is to live in a team house and practice for 10 hours a day with people who don't speak English. Fans' judgment of player passion outweighs players' personal judgment of their own emotional health. I'm pretty impressed with my logic there.

Alright then, next month move to country for an entire year where the language and culture is alien to you, for minimal pay. Oh yes, you might not have a stable place to stay either (now that the Slayers-EG partnership is over). It's easy to forget how much commitment and a challenge traveling across the world long-term is.

It's easy to forget how much commitment and a challenge traveling across the world long-term is. Moving abroad is overrated. All pro gamers have to travel a lot and I bet the majority of them are used to it. Sounds like a comment from someone who has never left their back yard. I've lived in 4 different countries. Adjusting is easy and fun. On September 02 2012 07:19 Doodsmack wrote: Yeah we as fans know better than Thorzain what's best for him. They follow the easy money, but should also think long term. I remember when Sheth left Korea and his results have been lacking ever since + I have no respect for someone who throws away an opportunity like that.
