Gom has been very good to non-Korean fans. They have provided I high quality competition with good production. Kespa do not even provide English commentary.
I really hope that non-Korean fans do not give anything to Kespa related competitions (excluding MLG - which has only recently aligned with kespa and still has time to distance themselves).

Oh god the shitstorm ! Sounds so stupid after what happened to Violet... Like really too down-to-earth for me today

Even with the recent announcement of Kespa players being able to compete in GSL 5, I don't see this ending well. eSF are showing that they are an uncontrollable bunch that will let their emotions control their actions. Who says something like this won't happen again? I think it was a show of power, like we arent afraid to cut up your throat with no regrets.
Yes and you know what could happen next? OSL could make the players sign a contract saying they can't leave the tournament unless it was for medical reasons and then the eSF players will boycott again.

Thank you ESF, for stepping up to the plate and not taking Kespa's garbage. That move by them was nothing but a money grabber, and a perfect way to ruin the ESF and GOMtv. Kespa doesn't run the show anymore, thank you for showing that today.

Don't you guys remember when GSL was just starting way back when? They just said $30 to view live, extra $20 for vods. We have a low-quality free stream thanks to community backlash, but the fact that they did this remains.
Basically, GOM doesn't want to lose their foreign cash-cow, while OGN by and large doesn't give a fuck. They continue to operate on commercial money and such, while providing a "free" product. Cue GOM getting mad at OGN/KeSPA for trying to corner the market. It's a normal power struggle, and everyone knows it, it's just that the GOM representatives' statements are... well, nevermind that.
I'm just going to see how this pans out, but KeSPA/OGN traditionally have the upper hand in those things.

The issues with that is, that kespa can run a free 720p on twitch without any issues, they can run their league without getting massive of amounts of subscription money from foreigner. But for GOM this money is really important. So who will you watch the stream that is HQ for free or the 360p p2watch stream?
So gom will lose out, they don't have the korean audience to pay for their tournaments via advertisement and so they can't afford to run free streams for foreigners

As I stated in the earlier thread (of the same issue) it was just a business decision due to lack of detailed schedule planning (source: Fomos Source, Not Allowed to Translate) and they clearly stated, at least publicly, that they're not trying to create a feud with GOM or the ESF (source: Another Fomos Source, Not Allowed to Translate). Both of these Fomos articles popped up overnight or something, I didn't see them yesterday. As linked many times, according to This DES Article, KeSPA stated on the 24th (today) that they will send eligible players from ALL teams (stated explicitly in the article as "all teams") to participate in the next GSL (next as in Season 5). They also added that they don't want any more tension in the scene, but that's most likely a PR statement lol. It's not as simple as a scheduling conflict. You must be have the foresight of a blindman if you really think it was only based on the scheduling conflict. As per Fxopenboss's blog, yes GOM was sluggish in getting out their schedule to KESPA. But if you read ESF's official response, it was apparent that GOM was willing to compromise to get the KESPA players in, including giving seeds to KESPA players, etc. KESPA simply tried to undercut GOM and gambled the backlash wouldn't be as bad as it would be. Well, the backlash was more than KESPA imagined, so KESPA, to save face, puts out a statement to say they will participate in GSL season 5. At this point in time, probably to save face, KESPA won't reverse its decision on GSL season 4. I don't know why you are such an ardent KESPA supporter. They are simply doing harm to SC2 and e-sports. I don't know why is anyone such an ardent eSF supporter. KeSPA at least has actual reasons for not playing in GSL s4, whether you like them or agree with them is up to you, but they DO have reasons other than 'haha lets screw with GOM'. The reaction from eSF is not only 100% aimed at assuming the worst from KeSPA without giving them ANY chance whatsoever, but also terrible towards the fans and all the supporting crews who make the tournaments happen - pulling out HALF the lineup of a major tournament a week before it happens, after going through preliminaries and group draws etc, is simply retarded. There's literally no way anyone with a shred of logic can be supporting eSF's decision in this while blaming KeSPA for trying to 'powerplay' over GOM. But yeah, SC community these days is awesome. xd Pretty much how I feel about this. eSF is killing eSports, KESPA's just holding it's players back for season 5 when they'll be more acclimatised to sc2 and can handle preparing for 3 leagues at once.
That's a load of bologna, otherwise we wouldn't have ESF players in OSL to begin with. Kespa even said they were planning to hold from season 5 as well, until ESF struck back. Good for ESF. Kespa doesn't run the show anymore.

I really hope that non-Korean fans do not give anything to Kespa related competitions (excluding MLG - which has only recently aligned with kespa and still has time to distance themselves). OGN provides HD streams for free. Harp on Kespa all you want but lets be real. The ogn lol free stream is the same quality as the gom free stream, and we already saw restreams get shut down during the last osl finals. I really doubt that ogn will keep letting foreigners watch free hd sc.

OGN already charges for LoL. I am pretty sure that they will charge for SC2, too pretty soon.

LOL in sc1 This is SC2 and GSL runs shit over here!!! The only reason people watched OSL are because of the GOM-Kespa rivalry...... Only because we wanted to see how BW pros would addapt to the new game!!! I could care less about who is in OSL if I dont know 1 single player! and at this point in time stil far behind GSL players im not talking about the couple few that can hang with them But overall leaugue skill
