Think before you post. This should go without saying, there are so many people making absolutely idiotic comments in this thread. If you have nothing constructive to say, please don't say anything. |

i thought of kespa acquiring stephano because of "awesome salary" but there's a agreement of no player trading/acquiring, right? between federation and kespa.
Yes but federation does not include foreign teams. So federation teams and kespa teams are free to buy foreigners and foreign teams can pick up whoever they want too.

well then...i think it'll be exciting if stephano joins one of kespa teams but seems unlikely since he has little experience in korea...but maybe $$$ won him over?

Incontrol, you won a showmatch against Combatex? Awesome bro. Tweet about it some more, it's going to do wonders for your practice.
Idra, complain that NA is shit every day and get stomped in the WCS North American tournament. Awesome bro.
Players like Demuslim and Machine perform poorly, but no one gives them shit because there personalities aren't fucking disgusting like Incontrol's and Idra's.

Have fun getting smashed at MLG for the 10th time in a row. Though, I'll be rooting for you Thorzain (and demuslim, machine, and suppy) When you act with respect you get treated with respect.
Pretty much on point.
I'll root for Thorzain and Demuslim because they aren't assholes like idra and incontrol. I'll root for Stephano if he joins them.
EG has 2 really mediocre koreans too - Puma is an underachieving Korean Terran under EG's leadership, and JYP is just a bad korean. If Stephano joins EG...idk I just hope he doesn't join. I will still root for Stephano though.

Doesn't need to be on SKT to train with SKT. Just look at Mil/TSL and EG/Slayers. With Boxer being SKT's coach, the connection is clearly possible. EG--->Slayers--->SKT.

It's general jealousy that EG can actually offer good players good salaries, even if they don't win literally every tournament ever. EG has a great business model and many sponsors (because EG and its players do a great job of promoting their brand), and other teams don't yet have such an established company. Therefore, not all teams are as wealthy and can afford to pay their players enough money, even if the players are worth it.
EG does a great job of taking care of its players, and they run a good business and competition, and some people become upset when the business aspect (rather than the team aspect) is shown. Occasionally, EG buys out a player that used to be on a smaller team. That's business. Instead of hating on EG though, people should be happy that the player is making a better living, as this is his profession. It's better for the future of e-sports.

Ah thanks, really just didn't get why there was so much hate. If I were a pro i'd love to be on EG !
If it really is just as petty as that all you haters should all truly be ashamed. I know people like to be "indie" and shit but Jesus, hating a team because they are successful. How's that helping e-sports and the growth of StarCraft? I can only dream of a Starcraft TV channel in the UK but with attitudes like that in the community its a long way off.

Half of this thread should turn to accounting to be your major profession, you are all so sure about which numbers are right for Stephano's salary ^^ I didn't know you guys handled his bank statements so well.
Predicting what he might make is one thing, but a portion of this thread is arguing hypothetical predictions and opinions which is ridiculous. Make your prediction and leave it at that, discussing semantics becomes exhausting.

Stephano has proven firstly that he is all about money and making more of it, I highly doubt he will simply go "making 6 figures, that's it for me" because he wants to be the wealthiest player to play (hell he's giving up being a doctor for SC2 which has been an extreme decision pacing through his mind for the previous year plus)
So will Stephano decline? No, in fact I would wager that he will be the inspirational boost that EG really needs. This year might have been the Year of TaejaLiquid but if EG plays its cards right it might be the year of StephanoEG.
Sorry to break it you, but you don't just become a doctor even if that's what you decide to do...

Dunno about you, but I'm happy when a company does well, and is able to spread the 'wellness' to as many people around. Stephano showed awesome talent and performances. EG made it possible for him to step up: financially, practice environment-wise, and in other ways. EG is promoting esports. Too much of TL is hating. Guess which are the bad guys.
